Click through to URL

Click on a URL link within a URL field and open that URL within list view.    See VidYard Video here.

Am I missing something but I think this should work within the list view?

Has any solution been found for this? Seems super strange to be able to click from a grid view but not a list view, especially if it's specifically a url field.
