Posting to see if there is another solution. Despite having the fields in my preferred order, the embedded cards don't appear in the correct order. 

I am seeing the same issue as the original poster, but this is still happening even when my top grid view shows the correct order of fields I'd want to see on embedded cards as well. Any other solutions?
