Org Chart: Need help restructuring

Hey all, first time post here. I’m assembling an org chart from a template. I’m assembling a structure where some solo people report to the CEO and others to their department heads. Is there a way to move the solo people to the bottom level since they are not considered department leads, even though they report to the top level CEO?

I don’t think there’s a very elegant way to do that, no. Airtable’s Org Chart App is pretty primitive, and only knows about the static hierarchy.

I’ve had to work around similar issues by creating “People” records that represent Departments, and then grouping people as children of those Departments. So directly under the CEO, you’d have Records that represent Departments, rather than People, and then the People records would be children of those Department records.
