Can a record's status be updated externally?

I am looking to assign tasks to non-airtable users by sending them via slack. Is there an integration or extension that allows the assignee to complete the task and update the record on my table without actually going on Airtable? It appears Todoist has that sort of feature but I'm not finding anything on Airtable that enables this. Thanks in advance.

I have answered my own question. I executed a slightly modified version of the tutorial below while using a single table. Don't forget the "?" to place in the concatenate formula right after your URL form.
