Hi all

I want to create a purchase order (contract) in a PDF file for sending via Outlook to my suppliers.

Goal: Create a pdf Purchase Order automatically generated upon a trigger (PO Ready) from the master order which can be emailed out to multiple email destinations and internally.

Thanks in advance

Check out DocsAutomator (https://www.docsautomator.co/) they have a free tier where you can generate 50 documents that includes a script you can use with your Airtable Automations to create the PDF and their support is really great.

Documint (https://documint.me/) is another popular one, but they need you to pay for their automation script

@FPX

If you’d like to automate the process of creating a PDF document and emailing the PDF file to your clients, you would typically want to use Make’s advanced automations for Airtable, which can automate & integrate the entire process for you by using 3rd-party PDF creation apps.

Here are some of your best options:

1. One of the most popular PDF creation tools for Airtable is DocuMint. DocuMint has an Airtable extension and also offers full Make support.

2. Another popular tool is Docs Automator, which integrates with Google Docs.

3. PlumSail Documents is another app that has an Airtable extension and also offers full Make support.

4. Formstack Documents also has an Airtable extension and also offers full Make support.

5. However, you can choose ANY document creation app that you would like, and automate the PDF creation process by using Make’s automations & integrations. You can even use good old fashioned Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel.

If you’ve never used Make before, I’ve assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread.

For example, here is how you would instantly trigger a Make automation from Airtable.

Hope this helps! If you’d like to hire an expert Airtable consultant to help you with anything Airtable-related, please feel free to contact me through my website: Airtable consultant — ScottWorld

Hey Adam

I went with DocsAutomator. What would be the best solution to send this PDF out from Airtable so that it shows the recipients that its coming from my company email address (I use Outlook) to ensure that my emails go to their existing email folders they've set up for my domain?

Thanks

George

Hmm, DocsAutomator should automatically push the PDF into the triggering record, so you could try:
1. Create an automation that triggers when the attachment field that DocsAutomator pushes the PDF into updates
2. Give it a "Send Outlook Email" action and send it out to the appropriate person with the PDF
