Hi all,

I need help getting my new records in Google Sheets to show in Airtable. I created an automation as follows

Bonolo_0-1698239445455.png

After successfully testing the automation, I see the new record in the automation window; but when I go to the data table, it is not there. What could be causing this, please?

Thank you

Hi @Bonolo,

Could you please share a screenshot when you click into the create record & update record action step?

It's hard to say more without more info 🤔

Hi @Bonolo,

Your welcome. Hope this helps!

To fix this issue, I would start by deleting the update record step as you are duplicating the (Cooko Facility). From the screenshots you sent, the update record step seems to be redundant as it’s in the same table. Just start by just making sure the connection works between Google Sheets and Airtable with the primary field or absolute necessary fields. Once you make sure it’s working with the basics, start including any more fields (If necessary).

Pro tip: Be careful what fields you include when creating the record in Airtable. For example, if you create a row and start editing all the information on Google Sheets, it won’t transfer all that data after you created the row.

p.s. to answer this question "but when I go to the data table, it is not there." It could be a primary field type issue. For instance, if you have a grid view and you are using a filter, grouping or sorting etc this could hide all the fields you might need. You can create a Created Time field and then filter to see any fields that were created on a certain day...

Let me know if this fixes the problem!
