Hello Airtable Support, I’d like to know if the following HR automation is possible: Our goal is to streamline our interview scheduling workflow. Once we decide to interview a particular applicant, we’d like to send them an Airtable link. On that form, they should be able to: Book an available interview slot. Upload their resume. On our end, we have several roles, each with designated interviewers. The idea is that when an applicant selects a role from a dropdown menu, a calendar appears showing the available interview slots specifically for the chosen role. This calendar would need to sync with each interviewer’s availability. Is this feasible in Airtable? Thank you!

Hmm yeah this is sort of possible, but I'd suggest using something like Calendly to handle the interview slots bit instead.  Auto emailing the applicants a form link where they can upload a resume is easy enough, and I'm thinking you can have a formula field that'll output a specific Calendly link based on the role selected to direct that applicant to the specific interviewer's Calendly

Reasoning:
With Airtable you wouldn't be able to present the user with a calendar view of the slots, the best you'd be able to do is dropdown list I think.  It would also be a fair amount of effort to sync each interviewer's availability into Airtable, as I'm assuming they're using their own calendar tools like Google Calendar etc to manage stuff

I would do this in Google Calendar. You can make calendars bookable (Click the Create button at the top left, then select "Appointment schedule"), and they allow attachments. You can set the parameters of the available appointments (length, daily/hourly availability, no double-booking, etc.).

Airtable would be used to track the interviewee's status in the process, what date the link was sent, how many days since they've responded, drop their resume into an attachments field, etc.

Hey @hrhr123

I agree with Ron and Adam. While what you described is possible it is not the best choice you have.

I would recommend to use any appointment tool like cal or calendly for each role where you can set the availability settings. Connect on the selected tool the interviewer's calendar to track availability.

Use an automation to upload the CSV and update the role with a new linked record for the upcoming interview.

I agree, using something like Calendly is a better option for managing interview slots and syncing availability.

If you still want to stick with forms, check out Plumsail Forms for Airtable. It integrates natively with Airtable, supports all the fields including the date picker, and lets you customize things with Javascript, which could be useful for your setup.
