Charts from Record Picker

Hi everyone! I'm trying to create a dashboard to visualize our project management data, and I'm having a little trouble with the charts. I have three tables in the base, and I'd like to select a record from a single table and show charts of the data in the fields for that particular record. But when I add a chart and make sure the source is the record picker, the field options are just the other two tables, not the fields in the table the record resides in.

What am I doing wrong?

It's difficult to help without seeing how your data or interface is setup
