Re: Dynamic Element Records - Grid in Interface
Looking for someone who can support me with a quick consult for my non profit, Modern States Education Alliance.
My imported data table has over 9000 institutions ("School Name") with their CLEP Score and Credit Information By Exam. I was able to create an interface to filter by School Name and then display all of the Scores and Credit by Exam in two columns. I also created a Form to understand If a school
- Accepts CLEP credit,
- How much they charge to transcript the credit,
- How many credits they accepted,
- How simple this process was.
Our goal at Modern States is to make college more affordable and accessible to everyone. This interface will serve as a space for our learners to share their journey and provide an updated CLEP by credit search. At the moment the College Board and individual schools do not maintain current records of the college credit by examination and it's an issue for learners trying to transfer credit.
Here This what I am looking for: Interface>School Name>Grid>Source "CLEP Credit Policy - Learners Form">View Only>Records>Specific Records>Edit conditions>Where "School" is exactly "Interface School Name selected". I can not figure out how to edit the condition to be dynamic when the Imported Table>School Name is changed in the interface.
Here is an example, Imported Table = Saint Marys University of Minnesota however the Grid specific condition is still showing Buffalo State College.
I want this to by dynamic and change as users change the Interface School Name. We want this to be like a Yelp or a Rate my professor.
User story: I am an adult learner who takes and passes 5 CLEP exams. I want to go to school at University of Buffalo. I use the interface to see that they accept my Am Gov, Am Lit, Bio and Chem CLEP. However when I go to transfer them University at Buffalo only grants 5 credits for Bio. I want to flag this for other users so I submit "CLEP Credit Policy - Learners Form". I want to see my form responses on the Interface when I search University at Buffalo.
Hmm, so you want it to match the record selected in the "Imported table" record picker? If so, perhaps you could try changing your grid's source to the record picker?
