Hi there,
we want to use Airtable Interfaces on Android phones in our field operations. The main challenge I'm encountering:
When making edits to a barcode field (scanning a barcode or typing something), these edits seem to exist on the local phone only. They show on that phone in different Interface-views. However, the edits cannot be seen on a different device and are gone when the app is closed and re-opened. Hence, I believe the edits to a barcode-field on Interfaces on Android are never uploaded to the base. We've tried this on different Android-devices and always encounter this problem.
Any recommendations on how to solve this would be much appreciated!

I would report it as a bug to support@airtable.com.

Interesting! Using Android 14 UKQ1~ I managed to update a barcode field in the Grid view, but not via the Interface, so a possible workaround could be to let create a view and let your users do it via the base instead? If that's not possible due to security concerns, you could try using a two way sync if you've got a Business plan maybe. If you don't have a Business plan this gets a lot trickier though
(Using an iPhone I could update the barcode field in both Grid view and the Interface)

Thanks both!
I've reported the bug to Airtable support, @ScottWorld .
@TheTimeSavingCo, we're currently working directly in the base. I want to migrate to Interface for improved usability and security. Using a two way sync might be a good alternative though, thanks for the idea!
