Record List keeps jumping to bottom of list instead of top

As title says, every time I make a change to a new record in the record list or something that filters/moves record in the list... the list jumps to default to bottom of list. then I have to scroll all the way to the top and find my spot to select the next record.

Any reason it doesn't default to top of list or a setting?

It would depend on the sort function. You can create a new field type "Last Modified" and then sort by that.
