Hello All, I have a question about creating a custom synced calendar for each user.  I own an RV van rental management company and am trying to figure out how to have a unique calendar link for each customer that we can sync up with our user interface.  Currently, I am creating a new view for every user, but I don't see this as a scalable option as we expand. I would like a unique calendar showing each user's reservations created automatically rather than manually creating it every time we onboard a user.  I hope this makes sense.  I also don't want hundreds of views in airtable so each user can have a unique calendar.  I am using stacker as my user interface and would also like to figure out how to embed the calendar there so customers don't have to rely on a link.

Hi @mbrich,

Yes, this makes sense. You definitely don't want to create hundreds of views in Airtable so each user can have a unique calendar.

If all of your customers are signing up for Airtable accounts, you only need to create ONE calendar interface using Airtable's interfaces feature, and you can set the calendar to show each person ONLY the events that they are assigned to. You would set the calendar element to only show "viewer's records only".

However, if your customers aren't signing up for Airtable accounts, then the solution to this is to use what's known as a "portal". It's the exact same thing as above — you would only need to create the calendar ONCE, and each customer will log in and only see their own calendar events.

This can be done very easily with Noloco, which offers a calendar portal. I actually just gave a demonstration of Noloco last week on the BuiltOnAir podcast at this link. Another calendar portal that you can use is Softr.

p.s. If you have a budget for your project and you’d like to hire an expert Airtable consultant to help you with any of this, please feel free to contact me through my website: Airtable consulting — ScottWorld
