Defect: Sorting for Grouping for Timeline & Gannt

Reporting this defect. The timeline and gantt views don’t sort the grouping. I could see two possible options

• sort in the order in which items appear in the field setup
• sort in standard alpha order (asc or desc)

Either would work for me. The sort order is currently neither and it’s hard to figure out exactly what it’s doing to determine the order of the group items. Maybe record order in the DB (which wouldn’t be helpful)?

Upon further inspection, this occurs when trying to group on a multi select field (caused by records that have more than one value checked).

Airtable advises the sorting is functioning as currently designed. So not technically a defect. As a result, I’ve converted this into an enhancement request. Hopefully the information provided is enough.
