What is the proposed idea/solution?
When using a linked record and pulling over a single select field by using a lookup, it would be very useful to be able to color records with it. At the moment, it doesn't give you that option.
For example, let's imagine there's a table for TASKS and another for USERS.
A linked field would be used to assign a user to a given task.
Now if we go into a timeline view, perhaps it would be useful to color the tasks based on the user it was assigned to. It would be intuitive to have a single select from the USERS table to color them. This could be pulled over via a lookup field then be used, but at the moment this isn't supported.
How does is solve the user problems?
It makes it easier to color and visualize the data within different views.
It also prevents doing goofy workarounds in order to achieve this.
Who is the target audience?
Anybody using Airtable who use colors to visualize their data.
