We’ve been encouraging our team to use Interfaces instead of going into the bases since it creates a cleaner, more controlled environment in which to do work. However, we are running into a big problem for communication. Our Interfaces are mostly set to be filtered by “Current User” based on a collaborator field, so everyone sees only things relevant to themselves upon opening the page – overall an awesome feature!

The problem occurs with commenting – if someone comments on a record in their Interface and someone else clicks on the notification, it takes them to the same Interface page. BUT because that Interface is adjusted to their username, the record is filtered out. Thus the notification leads nowhere and the record is untraceable. We’ve had to go back to copying record URLs and commenting on things in Slack, which is a ridiculous step backwards!

(Also, please show the notifications bell at the top of Interface pages so I don’t have to remember to go into the base to check!)

This is a problem for us too, the commenting system needs major work.

Has anyone found a solution for this?
