Date Picker in Timeline view

What is the proposed idea/solution?

The little calendar pop up date picker that appears in calendar view should be available in timeline views also

How does is solve the user problems?

Jumping to a date in the future is not user friendly using the scroll/slide at the bottom of the view

How was this validated?

Users of timeline view with long time scales
