My team uses Airtable for project management. It’s literally been the best, most flexible piece of software we could ask for, to create our own pm system. However, a feature that is sorely lacking is the ability to group by computed fields and still drag and drop records. This would allow our pm system to automatically change the status of “Individual” to “Team” if more than one assignee is added to a project or task, but allow us to move it back to “Individual” if one team member finishes their part of the project/task.
My recommended solution is: When a user drags and drops a record from one group option to another group option, Airtable prompts the user in a modal to select/deselect an appropriate option from the field(s) that controls/effects the computed group field for that record.
