What is the proposed idea/solution?
In an interface timeline view, the user can chose to change the timescale (from days to 5 years). So far so good.
However, very often you do not want the user to be able to change the timescale. Why? Because you set your planning to be done daily, weekly or monthly. E.g. if you do it monthly, a daily view just does not make sense and confuses the user.
I.e. the interface builder must be able to chose if their user is allowed to change the timescale (i.e. the user must be able to toggle it on or off).
How does is solve the user problems?
The interface will be loved better as there will be no confusion for the user.
How was this validated?
By many users that are confused.
Who is the target audience?
All user that work with timeline, e.g. resource planning companies, project management companies from all different kind of industries.
