It would be great if you could do more with buttons in Interfaces. For example, link to a from (with URL parameters) from a button so the user has to enter some data before making the change. Alternatively just a prompt for them to enter data when clicking it!
Confusingly, Airtable offers 2 different types of buttons, each which does different things.
You can actually add a โbutton fieldโ to your interface (as opposed to a โbutton elementโ), and then you can set that โbutton fieldโ to open a URL.
You would need to create this button field back in your base before adding it to your Interface.
It makes no sense, I have no idea what theyโre thinking, donโt shoot the messenger. Lol.
