For readability it would be nice to be able to present numbers (especially large ones) with separators such as commas. Custom defined number formats would be even better (regex).

Iโ€™ll third this. Currently we work around it by formatting as currency with no cents and no currency marker, but since Airtable is so lovely in most other ways it would be great to have this niggling little formatting issue fixed.

Is there a timeline for this feature to be included yet?

Not a perfect solution, but this post and the base it references offer some routines providing greater control over formatting of numbers and currency. The routines canโ€™t be used on input fields, but for those looking to format a calculation, they might prove usefulโ€ฆ

Would be really helpful, figured this is an essential assumed must have visual and very surprised itโ€™s missing.

Iโ€™ll add my vote for this as a needed update.

Thank you Beth! I had not thought of using Currency without $ and cents.

Itโ€™s bizarre that this feature is missing.
Iโ€™m pretty sure that it was available 35 years ago in Lotus 1-2-3 and dBase II.
Definitely available more than 25 years ago in Excel and Access.

Also, there are 59 format specifiers for the DATETIME_FORMAT function but thereโ€™s no function for formatting numbers. Or is there?

Is any solution with this format ###.###,00?
