Two product suggestions for the CSV Import Block:
If our CSV file has a field in it that doesn’t already exist in our Airtable table, the CSV Import Block just completely ignores that CSV field. However, it would be great if the Import Block gave us the option to create new fields for any new fields that it finds in the CSV file.
Please allow us to import fields into Long Text Fields, even if Rich Text Formatting is turned on. Currently, it’s a real bummer that the Import Block can’t import fields from a CSV file into a Long Text field, if the Rich Text Formatting option is turned on for the Long Text field. CSV files NEVER have any rich text formatting because they are simply plain text files, so I’m not sure why it would be a problem to simply import plain text into a field that has RTF enabled on it. As it stands now, the only way to import CSV files into a long text field is to turn OFF the RTF formatting option in Airtable — but then we lose all of the previous formatting that we had applied in that long text field. :frowning:
