It’d be helpful to be able to set a default value for new linked relational fields so that the field gets auto-filled as the records are created. This could probably be done with automations, but I noticed that you could set default values elsewhere, which is helpful, so this would be a convenient addition to that.
This request has been around for a few years (longer on the forums) and it seems like a logical step for the development team--they've been slowly adding the ability to set defaults for other fields.
This would help me cut back on my automation budget!
