There have been a number of requests and discussions around custom scripting solutions pertaining to this feature. I figured I would roll this request into a new thread and update the language in the title to potentially make it easier to find for anyone searching the forums looking for this type of feature.
I would love to be able to click a button from a button field and have it immediately start the timer for that record in the timer block.
There is an older suggestion here that came before the button field feature existed so does not mention those.
There are also a couple great looking custom scripts by @Justin_Barrett here and @kuovonne here, but in addition to these I think there are still use cases for the timer block.
Curious if others would like to see this too!
