Emoticons not showing up in airtable email automation

I have some formula column fields with the following syntax:

column_1: checkbox type

column_2: formula type with IF statement

Everything is working as expect and I see as table results the desired emoticon if is checked or unchecked.

The problem occurs when I add those records as grid in the Airtable email automations.

I get empty grid values in the email where these formula column fields with the emoticons result don’t show anything.

Can anyone help me out to understand why and how to fix this weird behaviour?

Another user is also experiencing problems with data not showing up when using the “render as grid” option in an email action, and I’m beginning to wonder if there’s a hiccup on the back end when parsing some field types/contents.
