Hello!
I'm trying to automate my email workflow using Airtable, but I'm encountering a limitation as I use AWS Workmail for my email service. Currently, it appears Airtable only offers built-in integrations with Gmail and Outlook.
Is it possible to connect Airtable to AWS Workmail using the IMAP protocol, similar to how it integrates with Microsoft Exchange? This would allow me to automate emails directly from Airtable.
I'd greatly appreciate any guidance or workarounds you could offer to establish this connection between Airtable and AWS Workmail.
Thank you for your time and assistance.

You can do that with Make’s IMAP email integrations & automations.
There is a small learning curve with Make, which is why I’ve assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread: https://air.tableforums.com/t/make-com-basic-navigation-tips/277
For example, to instantly trigger a Make automation from Airtable, check out this thread on instantly triggering a Make automation from Airtable using a webhook: https://air.tableforums.com/t/sending-airtable-data-to-an-external-webhook-such-as-make-com/159

Hmm, does AWS Workmail have a webhook system you can plug into? Maybe you can just set up webhook triggers / receivers on both Airtable and AWS Workmail to handle it?
Might be a fair amount of work even if it's possible though, so might just be easier to use an automation tool like Zapier, Make, etc

I would STRONGLY recommend against using Zapier.
Make is INFINITELY more powerful & customizable than Zapier, yet it is SIGNIFICANTLY CHEAPER than Zapier.
I wrote an entire post here comparing Make vs. Zapier: https://air.tableforums.com/t/make-vs-zapier/737
And I linked to the webhook solution in my first post above.
