What is the proposed idea/solution?

Add a Feature so you can change the background color of cells and whole colums manually or based on condition matching.

How does is solve the user problems?

Design of Tables and List Views will get more clean and easier to use / navigate. Also Users can color cells based on their content (like positive=green, negative=red, ...)

How was this validated?

It's basic visual Design theories.

Who is the target audience?

Nearly everyone, at least every user who needs to navigate through big airtable bases & list views.

Yes, this is a very important feature request!

It’s so strange that Airtable doesn’t offer this very basic feature of conditional cell formatting, which has been a mainstay of spreadsheets since the invention of color computer screens 35+ years ago.

All of my clients have needed this specific feature at one point or another.

(Note that Airtable recently added this ability to number elements in interfaces, but those elements are extremely limited because they can only display numbers and they can only display summary values of those numbers.)

Unfortunately, until Airtable adds this feature, our only option is to pay extra money to use a 3rd-party portal that supports this feature, such as JetAdmin or Noloco.

I don’t know if any other portals support that feature, but I know that those two do.

Hope this helps! If you’d like to hire an expert Airtable consultant to help you with anything Airtable-related, please feel free to contact me through my website: Airtable consultant — ScottWorld
