Ooh, that’s a good catch. I didn’t even realize that was happening. Be sure to email this request to support@airtable.com, since they rarely read our posts here. This might even be considered a bug instead of a feature request.

Update from Airtable Support: I can confirm that the described behavior is expected.

I don’t agree with that behavior, or at least there should be an option to check, whether to treat as new VS existing.
