Timeline/Gantt Interface - Select multiple records

What is the proposed idea/solution?

Users need a way to select multiple records to slide around at once in a timeline interface.  

How does is solve the user problems?

It's basic usability.
It's required for any timeline that has records with overlapping dates

Who is the target audience?

All users who deal with timelines

100% agree with this - It'd be a game changer. 

The only way to currently do this is use Date Dependancies, meaning tasks / records are linked together by date, and so by dragging on record along, the others that follow or precede that record in time will adjust.

I haven't used this a whole lot, but also need this functionality!

I am currently using dependencies, but have a lot of records that need adjusting.  Dependencies are a bit slow as is too.  It seems unreasonable to not have a better way to manipulate a lot of records in an interface timeline.
