There are many things that I love about Airtable and like others such critical gaps that if filled with make it a truly powerful tool.
Chief among these for me is a conditional related record lookup. i.e. Let’s say that I have already selected in one field a particular contract. Let’s say I have a separate table with the products on that contract.
In another field I want to be able to select one of those products, but only have it show me products that are related to the contract already selected. As it is, I get presented with every product from every contract, making it close to unusable.
The data is all there and it doesn’t break the structure. In fact it would be a performance improvement and load reduction on your servers. Please consider it.
