What is the proposed idea/solution?

To be able to filter all items in a List view - for example if you are using:

Table 1: Projects

Table 2: Tasks

Table 3 Subtasks

I would like to be able to filter all three levels based on the status so that I can easily hide all those Projects / Tasks / Subtasks that are complete

How does is solve the user problems?

It would help increase functionality of the List view.

How was this validated?

@DavidW Thanks for letting me know, that is a great solution! I have already changed my interface and it works great.

I'd like to second the request to be able to filter level 1 records with an interface, even if there are no records within them. When individuals need to populate a category, this is very important. It would also help to be able to use the search to filter records at that level, rather than the underlying source records.

In addition, in the list view, long record names get truncated when adding or editing them in the dropdown — please allow this window to resize dynamicallly!

@DavidW  I would also upvote the ability to filter on multible levels in the list view.

Changing the source list also resets the entire view, it would be great for the view to stay the same if the source is on of the 3 levels.

Obviously if you are changing the source completly then the view needs to be reset.
