The AI document analysis tool instantly used up all of my credits. The marketing page has a section that says “AI that instantly reads 10,000 pages to find the one insight you need” but I didn’t even come close to 10k pages before it ran out of credits.
I upgraded our plan and I had several users’ worth of credits. This is either a bug or the marketing page needs to change.

One thing to note with today’s launch of the Airtable AI Assistant: all prompts entered (and actions delivered) via the Assistant cost a flat 10 credits.

The most simple solution would be to give us the option of providing our own API keys. I currently use zero Airtable AI features but have dozens of script automations that send a webhook to Replit, where my AI workflows happen, then Replit sends it back to Airtable.
+3Has anyone heard any updates on this? I just used 1000 credits from a single attachment (even though the field estimated 4 credits would be used). Or does anyone know how to predict the number of credits are going to be used for a document?
I love the feature but am struggling with how many credits it’s using.

Thanks for sharing! Because its stories like these that validate my decision to use my own API key via scripting. I hope though the credit costs will come down and be more consistent within Airtable.
