Hi!I am building an activity planner for an organisation and trying to achieve an interface page that shows a timeline view, but with dates running along the vertical (Y) axis rather than the standard horizontal layout. The idea is that users can scroll up and down to see multiple records (activities) lined up side by side against a shared time axis.Has anyone managed to:Replicate this with a different interface element or creative field/layout setup? Use an embedded chart or third-party tool to achieve this? Build something similar using a custom page or external embed?Any workarounds, extensions, or even "close enough" solutions would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Am I missing something? Tell me there is a secret. Right now the Interfaces can show the record’s Activity Feed but not the Revision History ? The only place I can show it is if I use the side panel to open a linked record, those you can have the revision history at the bottom but that is it!! As far as I know.

I absolutely hate not being able to see the column title name unless i want to make the column width 2084985 feet. While it seems simple in nature, this is why i prefer Smartsheet. I want to be able to have columns sized appropriately with legible column headers and not have to scroll over to view.

Hi there! I’m using Airtable to plan out the scenes of a story, and I love having the gallery/kanban view to be able to rearrange scenes within chapters. Right now I’m using a short description of the scene as the “title” for my kanban/gallery cards. However, many are getting cut off and making it hard for me to get a truly “at a glance” view of the scenes I’m working with. (I would post an image, but the interface won’t let me submit my question with one!) Is there any way to force the cards to display all cell contents on cards? Thanks!

Hi Airtable Community, I’ve got a sandbox running on one of my networked Airtable bases as I work on configuration to connect it to another platform, but I keep getting an error message when I try to apply changes made in the Sandbox to Production:  It’s the same error every time. I have creator permissions in both environments, as do the accounts of our external vendor working on the integration. I emailed Support, and was greatly disappointed to get an AI bot response. I’m hoping some real human beings can help me out.

We have a large volume of data in two tables (Facilities and Users) that we’ve imported via a HyperDB. We want to make routine updates from our company data lake into these two Airtable tables. There is linked data between our two tables (Facilities, Users). The updates don’t have to be instant - once daily or even a little less frequently is ok. It looks like this won’t be able to be done via a script - that it will require manual intervention via the browser tools, is this correct? Thanks in advance. Trying to point our development team in the right direction and are also open to help. 

Hello, I have built a table with links to spotify, Instagram, twitter and tik tok and I also include the number of followers of each of the artists in the table. I update this data by hand and I would like to know if there is a way to automate this update or to do it on demand for a previously selected group of artists. Thank you!

I am learning Airtable and am with a new company as of November. I’ve taken many of the online classes to learn the system but am still encountering issues with a few things. I believe part of it is the way the current data and forms are designed. I don’t think they were too far off during the creation process. However, I’d love some assistance reviewing a few small items. I’m unable to change some forms and a few other oddities. The only person who knew the system has left the company. Perhaps a 15–30-minute call. I’m sure I’m overcomplicating things. Anyone with 30 minutes willing to help me out?

Hi all, Im trying to build a timeline and all the surrounding forms to manage the factory bays and mechanics on airtable.I’m wondering if there’s any way to colour mask (possibly the background) the weekends as well as masking off the day-offs of the mecanics.  Is there a way to do this on airtable or possibly on extentions? Thanks for your attention.

Hi all, I hope you’re well. I'm building a paid directory and I need to integrate invites link in my IT strategy.However, I'd like people who might stop paying the subscription to no longer have access to the directory (without deleting the invite link).Does someone know if this is possible ?  

I’ve seen this has been requested for a long time now, but those feature haven't still seen the light. My team struggles a lot for the current interface limitations:Not being able to see the full text entered in a cell. This happens both in table and lists views. There is no current solution for this, unless people manually open the record, which is not always the possible solution when you're reviewing big tables that are text-intensive No font colors: this is something I do not understand. Why it is not possible to have font colors? There are rich text fields, with headings, bold, italics… You can event set a link that will color the text in blue. But no way to change the font color.Those limitations are embarassing when we look at how many powerful things we can do with Airtable. It would be great to hear from the Airtable team about those features, at least knowing if this is something that is being considered since I

En los botones de búsqueda dentro de la interfaz, actualmente solo se puede buscar por el campo principal de esa tabla. Por ejemplo, si tengo en la tabla cliente: como primer campo ; “ Teléfono ” . Como segundo campo; “ Nombre ”. Actualmente solo puedo  buscar por Teléfono, porque está establecido u  ordenado  como campo principal. No puedo buscar por nombre o otra categoría , aunque la vista previa si lo contiene. Sería posible de alguna otra manera, que no se unifique estos campos. ¿?Podrías hacer algo para que sea posible. 

I reviewed the following related topic but would like to do a quick check to make sure I’m on the right track…I work in natural resources but essentially have an inventory type question. I have locations (preserves) with sub-locations that I am tracking inventory from (both receiving and outgoing). I am still building my base and recently realized that I should probably move the locations into its own because multiple tables/records are related to the location AND it’s a bit more complex than a short list of 5 items. As I started building the location (preserve) table, the problem of sub locations came up. I’ve included a couple screenshots of how I have it setup at the moment. Does this look okay from a design/structure standpoint? Ultimately I will have seeds coming from these locations and plants going back to the same or different locations.

Hi everyone,I’m looking for some help setting up an automation in Airtable for my booking agency workflow. Here’s the use case:Every time I send a contract to a client, I update a single select field in my table to “SENT.” What I’d like is to receive a reminder email after 72 hours only if the contract hasn’t been signed yet, and I didn’t change the single select field status. Current workflow: I send the contract and set the status to “SENT” If the client signs it, I manually update the status to “SIGNED” (so no reminders needed) If the client does not sign within 72 hours, I want to receive an email reminder so I can follow up directly (I know Airtable can send an email to the client, but I would like to send it instead) The key requirement is that the reminder should not be sent if the status has already been changed to “SIGNED” within that time frame.

Jotform integration can only add new records to Airtable; it can’t update a record, correct? I have a table with a couple of hundred records (name, email, etc.) and want to send out a Jotform survey to everyone that will automatically populate each record with their answers. This is currently impossible without some third-party go-between, as far as I know. Is this not a basic function of databases, being able to update the records? If I can create a simple three-step solution in Zapier to update records from Jotform submissions instead of adding new ones is there any reason Airtable can’t do this natively? I could do it in Filemaker thirty years ago.

Hello! I’m fairly new to Airtable, and very new to Fillout. I’m creating a form that collects a user's name, some city specific info, and then asks them to agree to terms and upload a photo of their driver's license. A lot of the users of this form are on tour and will be asked to fill it out in each city they visit, so we were looking for a way to save their name, agreement, and ID. Ideally after their initial time using the form, all they need to do is input the city specific information. My idea was to use Fillout to ask for a user’s email- if that email already exists in the database, they would get a shortened version of the form that only requires city specific information. If they are a new user, they would see the entire form. Any and all help would be appreciated!!

I love the new interfaces and the option for grouping data, however I sometimes need to have different groups to show different stats but be able to filter ALL by the same date rather than having to filter by group.  It would help if we had the old option to add text to a group so that you can differentiate data and then you could add the filter to one group but still have context to the data you are looking at within a group.I don’t think there is a way to do any of this?

Fairly new to AirTable, so this is probably really simple, but I can’t find anything helpful.When I have a Rollup field, I cannot expand the Formula field DOWN using the bottom corner handle - only to the right. This means I can only see about 1.75 lines of the formula. I’m copy-pasting in and out of Notepad to try to create/edit formulas because I can’t see the formula in AT.I can expand the Formula field down as far as 10 lines if the field type is Formula instead of Rollup. What on earth is going on here?

I am trying to create a public interface, where I will allow people to search for submitted serial no.Only if you enter the correct serial number in full (without case sensitivity), a list will be shown for all records that matches the S/N you entered.Is this possible with interface?

The new custom interface feature is incredible, it’s unlocked so much functionality for my organisation but one thing that would take it to the next level is being able to place custom interface blocks inside of standard interface pages.Please add this one to the backlog 🙏

I’m making an analytics dashboard for a client. They want to be able to see the top X records by viewcount, which we track. When I make a graph for this, there’s simply too many records and the bar chart looks a mess.I want to create a formula field that has a rank and I can include the top 5 records in a bar chart. What’s the right approach for this? I am not a developer and hoping to avoid an automation w script.
