Hi all, as of today CTRL-F is not opening a search bar within a grid on my interface page.  I use this feature maybe 100 times a day and its a big part of my workflow.I rebooted, signed in/out, tried a different web browser, no luck.  This is hugely disruptive and I’m not particularly interested in creating a new interface list page with the native search feature.  There are other elements on my original page that I reference ALL the time that won’t be visible with a dedicated list.  Anyone else run into this and find a solution?  I submitted a ticket with support and they’ll get back to me in 1 to 2 days….

I have someone who is set as an editor, but she doesn’t have the ability to edit the form associated with the base and can’t delete columns from the base.  These seem like some basic functions and editor should have and I’m trying to figure out if I did something wrong or if creators/admin would be the only ones to be able to do those sorts of edits.  It may have been this way all along and I just never realized it until yesterday.

When, how, and what is not clear at all to me yet, so I wanted to open up the discussion early on to make sure this is really community led.Brainstorming:Format: Virtual (for sure). Synchronous (everyone builds during a given time frame) or asynchronous (projects submitted over a few weeks). Themes: Specific theme (e.g. procurement, marketing ops, nonprofits, etc.), or leave it totally open to “build whatever you enjoy”? Why I think this could be fun: A chance to show off creativity. A way to learn from each other’s builds. An opportunity to meet new peers. A reason to push Airtable to its limits in unusual or inspiring ways (different to the day-to-day work we do for our clients or within our organizations).  Would love to get some input from the usual suspects here, and from any other Airtable enthusiast!​@Scott

Hello - I just upgraded to the Pro-plan because it said the org chart allows you to “view hierarchical links between linked records” - but what I didn’t realize until now is that only works for fields within the same table. I’m trying to view how I’ve linked my tables (which I built in the “free” version) - I need to see this visually with connector lines showing the relationships (one to one, one to many, etc) between the tables - can someone help me figure out how to view all of these relationships at once on the page with connector lines? I’ve scoured the help resources and cannot find it. I’m worried this doesn’t exist?!!

What is the calculation behind the Timeline Utilization summary?  I am trying to create a formula column that displays a resources utilization in the Resources table, to be used as a metric on a landing page.I tried ((({Task Count} * 8) * {% Commitment} ) / (40 * {% Availability)) , but it does not match what AirTable is showing on the Timeline view.  The task count is the number of tasks for the current day. Is there a way to simply access the calculated value? Thank you,

I feel like I’m missing something pretty easy. I’m having a hard time converting what I do in Excel into our Airtable base. Each year our clients' total sales (a rollup of their sales for a given year) converts to shares based on a sales/shares tier. The tier changes every year. Because of this, we want to track the data historically. For example:Client ABC’s 2024 Total Sales were $250,000 and they earned 4 shares based on the 2024 shares tier.Client ABC’s 2025 Total Sales were again $250,000, but this year they earned 2 shares because the tiers changed in 2025. We need to track the tier changes each year as to keep data integrity of the shares earned each year by our clients. (We don’t want ABC’s 2024 points to change from 4 to 2, which it would if we use a nested if formula - the change in criteria for 2025 would mean an edit to the formula which would have a cascade affect and change all previous year's data.) ANNUAL CLIENT TABLE - rolls up sales totals for each client for all their

Different Interfaces and Button functionality is messing with my head.  Can someone help me please.The Interface “SUB QR Management & Generation” using a Blank page view seems to be one closest view that meets my needs the most.  This is what the outcome needs are:1. Once all the Trades and Subs have been allocated for each Job within a Project, I want to generate QRs (Quote Requests) for the whole Project with one button click.2. I then want to be able to view all the QRs by Sub (with their Jobs listed, grouped by Trade) as a double-check that the QRs per Sub are correct.3. I then want to generate QR PDFs (using DocsAutomator) both by Project and individual QRs with another button.4. And finally I want to email the PDF to the Sub (individually Sub by Sub) with another button.5. This is all normally done in one sitting so I would ideally want the whole process to be on one Interface page or any solution that doesn’t require me to keep on selecting the Project again.  Record Picker

I am trying to understand how Airtable API Rate limits work. It says The API is limited to 5 requests per second per base. If you exceed this rate, you will receive a 429 status code and will need to wait 30 seconds before subsequent requests will succeed. Is the limit per base per API key or per base per IP address?. Saw an answer in the forum but it is 4 years old and mentions airtable plans to change how it works. I ran a simple code to try and trigger rate limiting but airtable api was able to successfully respond to more than 20 api requests per second without running into api throttling

Is the API Rate Limit tied to an API Key? Or to an APP ID? Or a combination of both? I have developed several websites that pull and/or sync data with Airtable, and while none of them individually will generate more than 5 requests per second, I’m now concerned that (since they’re all using the same API Key) they will collectively generate more than 5 requests per second. However, if the Rate Limit is tied to the API Key and APP ID, I have nothing to worry about as each application is built using a different Airtable Base. Please advise! Thanks!

Hi, in order to consent my bank service platform to receive api requests from airtable, I need to put on his whitelist the ip address from which API Requests comes.Reading documentation I found they should be 52.44.24.118 and 3.215.151.50but not working...Any suggestions?ThanksPeppe 

Hi everyone,I’m working on a workflow where I’d like to bring live job costing data from QuickBooks Online into Airtable, specifically linked to Projects (i.e. QBO “Customers” with IsProject=true).The goal is to have Airtable show income and costs by project, so that project profitability and job cost tracking are always up to date. Ideally this would cover both accrual (Invoices, Bills, etc.) and cash-basis (Payments, BillPayments, Expenses, Checks, etc.) transactions — pulling the amounts tied to each project’s CustomerRef and syncing them into Airtable tables for Projects and Job Cost Lines.Has anyone here implemented something like this — a live sync or near real-time integration between QuickBooks and Airtable for job costing by project?

Hi everyone,I'm looking for advice on implementing a nightly data sync workflow.My Setup:CSV file with 25,000 records that needs to sync to an Airtable table Currently using the Sync API, which has a 10,000 record limit Need to perform a complete refresh (delete all + re-sync) every nightThe Challenge: Since my dataset is 2.5x larger than the sync limit, I need to send the data in 3 batches. However, I'm struggling to find the right approach to:Clear the entire table before syncing Successfully sync all 25,000 records in multiple batchesWhat I've Tried:Various sync configuration settings Setting up a webhook-triggered automation to delete all records before syncing Different batching strategiesMy Question: Has anyone successfully implemented a nightly sync workflow for CSV data that exceeds the 10,000 record sync limit? Dear Airtable community I need your help, please. We’re currently using Pipedrive (PD) to track our customers throughout the sales process and I’d really like to automate adding information to Airtable (AT). Does anyone know if there is a way that, when an orders is WON on PD that this customer record can automatically be created in AT? We have broadly similar fields, but from looking at Zapier, I can only see this linked to all activity updates/ creation of records, but not specifically something that ‘runs’ when an order is WON. Really hope you can help…! If I’m missing something that would help answer the question, do please ask and hopefully this is something that I can get up and running. Thanks in advance, Mark

We would like to keep the permissions of two bases (one a clone of the other) in sync.In order to do this, is it possible to manage permissions via the Airtable API?Specifically: field-level, table-level, and base-level permissions.Thank you

Hi, I am pretty new to this and not a developer. We are using Airtable for our product database for our Shopify store, and have Airpower as the sync between them. This works pretty good, but there is one major thing we need that Airpower does not support.We need the number of "committed" inventory of the products to sync from Shopify into Airtable in real-time. Right now, the Airpower Inventory sync only brings the "available" number through, but both are required for us, and we need the data to by syncing constantly so it's up to date.Is this something we could use a webhook for? Or is there a simpler process?

Is there a way to use Airtable sync to conditionally sync data from one base to another? I need to only sync specific records and not all of the records in table.If it is not possible using Airtable sync, is there any other way of accomplishing this?

My employer requires a strict technical control to ensure that employees can only check in from their authorized workstation. The idea is to automatically capture the user’s public IP address at the time of check-in and compare it against a whitelist of IP addresses stored in Airtable.The key constraint is that the solution must remain 100% Airtable-based: forms, automations, scripting, with no external front-end, middleware, or proxy server (e.g. Netlify, Vercel, etc.).However, in our tests, Airtable scripts always return the IP address of Airtable’s servers (AWS), not the end user’s IP. We would like to know if there is any native Airtable method or internal configuration that would allow us to capture the real client IP address directly within Airtable.

When creating a PRD or similar and I want to copy a User into the file so they are aware of the update I have always used the @ sign and selected the email from the dropdown list. When I then come out of this the email has automatically been sent. Do I also need to set up an automation? I have not done this previously as it is not always to the same person / group. 

Edit after ~1h of investigation: it turns out these are rate limits that are the culprit. Which raises a new question: if I change the email address in the automation, will it impact the runs that are currently in progress? My guess is no. And so, if no, is there any way to trigger a re-run of the currently stuck runs?  I several automations running that involve sending emails. They have both run over 6k times until yesterday around 8pm many runs are stuck in “pending”. There are several things puzzling about it:There isn’t a clear cut off when the automations started getting stuck. See screenshot below: several still pending from before 9pm on Oct 16, followed by successful runs, then everything after 10.15pm is pending.2.Runs stuck at different steps. The automation has two steps: find records, then send email. The earlier runs are stuck at the step of sending an email. Am I overcomplicating this?I have an automation to create a time stamp in a Date Completed field when a Status single-select field is changed to Done. The Date Completed field is populated with the full date and time, but I need to utilize this information in a Reporting interface for my management so I’d like to be able to have them select the month from a Dropdown Filter. To that end, I’ve created Month Completed field that uses a simple formula to just show the 3-letter code for the month, based on the Date Completed field.The issue I’m having now is that I’m not able to use that 3-letter code (because it’s a formula field?) as a filter on the Dashboard.I could create another automation that’ll convert the formula field into plain text or even a single-select field, but I feel like I’ve now created a whole bunch of steps to do something that might be accomplished in a simpler method. Note that the Month Completed info isn’t being used anywhere else. I have a few collaborators that have editor access, but keep getting an error message stating “You are not permitted to perform this operation” when trying to submit a form that creates a record. They can update records without any issue, but I can’t seem to get it so they can create new records.   This is through a form in an interface, but I can’t find anything that would prevent them from submitting the form. There are no restrictions within the form itself that I see. I’ve checked that they have Editor access to the specific interface, there is nothing on the interface page with the form that would allow me to make any restrictions, and I’ve confirmed the table where the record is being create allows for collaborators with editor access to create new records.  I then created it as a separate form, not within the interface and the only way we could get it to work was to open the access to anyone, which we don’t want.  Can someone point me to what I’m missing or should be doing diffe

I have an Airtable base that includes a Form View in a particular Table. I would like to be able to create a new Record in that Table and fill in some, but not all, of the fields for that Record. I’d like for the remaining fields for that record to be filled in by someone else. Can I send a URL that is unique to that record for that person to go to and fill in the remaining fields?

Hi all! I have a problem that I feel should have an obvious solution: I’d like to set up an Automation that normalizes a string value after input by base collaborators. However, the Automation appears to run too early, catching only parts of the input string. (This behavior is not consistent, though: From time to time the Automation will catch the whole string.) I selected When record updated as trigger and configured it to watch only for changes in a specific field (in my case: Keyword). Example from the screenshot: The entered text is “Aldi Angebote”, but the Automations appears to run already after the first letters are typed in, so only “Ald” is used as Automation input. What’s the best way to solve this problem? Is there a better trigger for this use case that I am missing?
