Trying to build an automation where an email is sent when a record enters a view (specified by a month status). The record contains a previously uplodaded file (pdf). Up to that point I’m able to make the email automation work, but when trying to add a last “update record” step (so that the record is updated after the email has been sent out, by having its status changed/updated) I get an error. Seems as if Airtable wont be capable of updating the record “status field” because the record contains an attachment. Trying to work a solution that will allow me to keep using the product. I have a paid version.
hi, does anyone know how to copy a group of records. It's for selecting materials for our manufacturing business. If we have standard jobs we don't want to have to select the same group of items (records) repeatedly
I don’t want to be overly negative as I love Airtable, as do my clients. But can Airtable slow down in integrating new features without proper testing. In the past couple of weeks since developers integrated Interface/data layout into one in the home view, there have been so many bugs in the system. I am all for new integrating and love the direction the company is going. However, don’t be premature about it. Every time I am using Airtable now there are new bugs and I don’t have time to send Airtable developers feedback and examples... It’s hard to keep up (more a clients perspective) with new features, new layouts and new bugs. To the developers, just make sure your ready before publishing new layouts and features please 🙏
I tried posting this question previously but I don't see it posted, so apologies if it appears twice.I have a simple database with two tables, each of which has a few fields.I want to create an interface that shows different list views of one table based on different filter criteria chosen through tabs.I created an interface with eight tabs on one page and was able to configure the filter criteria for each tab. It works fine in the edit mode.When I preview or publish it, only five of the tabs are visible. I thought that it might be there's a limit on the number of tabs on any page, or the length of their names, however when I tried rearranging or renaming the tabs to shorten names the behavior was the same. Only the five originally visible tabs appear, whatever I name them and in whatever order I arrange them. The other three tabs are never visible.I then tried copying the page to another page in the same interface, so that I could experiment further without deleting my original work a
Anyone know if/how to change the default behavior of clicking Interfaces when in Data Mode. It defaults to design mode so I need to click Interfaces and then click Open. I could have sworn it took me straight to interfaces prior to the most recent UI changes.

Hey folks, I’m trying to figure something out.I’ve got an old CSV doc that I’ve integrated. Unfortunately, it’s a mess and I’m only a “enough to get by” kind of Airtable coder. I’m a bit stumped.So, I’m trying to make a formula that combines multiple cells to make a condensed long text field for mailing addresses (if possible). Unfortunately, many of these individual cells are empty and there are 562 lines of them. There’s no good rhyme or reason as to what is empty, either. Sometimes it’s address 1 and address 2, sometimes there’s a city and state and nothing else, sometimes all of the information is filled out, so making a straight hierarchal system like I’m more used to seeing doesn’t really work.Example:IF(address 1, <all the info>, (IF(address 2, <address 2 down>, (IF(address 3, <address 3 down>,)))Here’s my best effort at what I want to do:Any advice? Hi, I’m building a page to track hours — comparing what we’ve budgeted versus the actual hours spent. We’re tracking time in Harvest, and at the moment I’m manually entering that data to match it up, which means there’s no direct link between the two systems. We use the same standard phases for every project (example: B01-B09). Each time a client signs a fee proposal, I want to add these same phases to the new project and allocate the initial budgeted hours. In Excel, I’d simply copy and paste multiple rows, but in this system I can’t duplicate more than one row at a time, which is slowing things down.Ideally, I’d like to be able to duplicate all phases (B01-B09) and assign them to a new project in one go, then input the hours. I also update the actual hours weekly, so it needs to be easy to maintain. I’ve been exploring whether an interface with a button (plus an automation) could do this — so that with one click it would add all the phases for me — but I’m a bit stuck on how to set t

We divide our base by years and create several bases. And with this new program, we can search through all the databases quickly and effectively.I share screenshot In the API, you can search multiple fields (in the example, we search through name and Linkedin link), and then, it shows in which base the API found the specific record (Of course, you can choose which fields you want to display.)What do you think if we commercialize the API? How can I search for a user in all airtable databases?
I'm astounded that Airtable doesn't support global search by default. Currently, I can find text within one base table only, not in all tables within a base, let alone all Airtable bases. I've seen that the Marketplace has a Search extension, which is absurd, paying $24/month to have the privilege to search your data within a database app. It's like charging an additional fee for including a steering wheel with a car. This question was asked by a user in September 2020: How can I search globally in all bases? ( Major Drawback ) NOT RESOLVED PLEASE OPEN THIS AGAIN. The query was marked as Solved and closed even though the OP clearly stated in the Subject heading "Not resolved," and wrote in the text body: "No the existing search app doesnt work. See the image below. it only search in the records in current base not globally." Nobody paying attention. Sad how 3 years have passed with zero progress on this matter.
Hello everyone! For export and invoice purposes, I think it would be nice to be able to inherit the filter from an interface to a detail page or at least within the detail page to the buttons (for exporting).Right now when Month Link is set on a specific month, the visible list is changed but the button in the same frame ignores it! Would be so great if it would recognise a filter or the dropdown elements!Does someone has a workaround? I want to make it as easy as possible for the back-office to export a month of choice. I'm trying to sync an excel online file (that's a .url file) to airtable and airtable won't recognize it. Can anyone help? If this doesn't work I'll have to figure out how to go map fields from oracle to airtable but would be far easier to just use the excel online file that is already mapped correctly and pull that into airtable and have it automatically update from there. There's no editing we'll need to do from airtable to excel online, just one way sync to airtable. Thanks for your help!
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can print the interface view? when I click to print the view has the wrong margins. I already tried to save the page in pdf but without success.
Hi, I’m new on using this product and we are trying to integrate this into our system. I managed to setup the api and make some requests however, during my testing in the list records api with `POST` method. I was trying to use this parameter `returnFieldsByFieldId` in the request body but got an error stating this..```{ "error": { "type": "INVALID_REQUEST_UNKNOWN", "message": "Invalid request: parameter validation failed. Check your request data." }}```Mentioned parameter works with `GET` request. Tried a bunch of boolean equivalent for this parameter like- 1- true- True- TRUEHoping someone can help. TIA.
Can anyone tell me if there’s a way to perform web scrapping on Airtable and fetch changes related to the tickets? For example, I change the status of my ticket to In-Progress from To-Do, I need a custom scraper method that would parse the data and store it into my database. I am using Node.js and puppeteer.
Hi, I’m fairly new to airtable and having a hard time setting up what I think should be a relatively simple base. I have a staff of about 40 individuals. They only have access to the share views of two of my bases, if that is relevant (so anything they do on airtable has to go through forms). The 40 staff are each assigned between 1 and 4 shifts a week. Each day is divided into 4 shifts of 6 hours, so we have 28 shifts per week. The number of staff members assigned to a given shift varies. Right now I just have a base with two tables: staff names and shifts (listed as mondayshift1, mondayshift 2, etc.). Staff members fill out a form and select their shifts so that the resulting tables fill in. What I would like is a way to track attendance and then later, set up automations (for emails) if someone misses a shift. I was thinking I would create a form for them to fill out when they clock out, with name, shift, and then one optional question (long text). Shifts do not change from week to
Something as simple as retrieving data from previous record and then mathematically operating this field (even within boundaries of cell) seems to take hours. If finding information or operating this platform is so difficult then whats the value.
Hello,I'm building a new business (creating adult study abroad programs, targeted at the US market) and using Airtable for product management and CRM. I had initially planned to use Mailchimp, via a Make integration, for both marketing and transactional emails, but I have hit a wall importing my initial contact list from Airtable into Mailchimp. I am not a developer and Mailchimp support has been confoundingly bad (2 weeks of effective radio silence, then 3 days of denying that their platform integrates with Make), so Mailchimp and I are going to have to part ways.I am looking for recommendations for a marketing email platform that I can integrate with Airtable - either directly or via Make - without needing to code. Does this exist? I have read on other posts here that Sendgrid integrates directly...but I don't know if this is the best solution. Hi, I want to track employee annual leave via Airtable. They’ll input Date From & Date To (including time). There will be individual calculation fields for each leave type (e.g sick, annual leave etc) and an approval status. So this formula would be wrapped in IF conditions; IF Type = ‘Annual Leave” and Status = “Approved” this calculation will apply. Formula needs toonly calculate weekdays (ignore weekends) understand 1 day = 7.8 hours only needs to count hours if the time differs between date from & date to fields. Understand working hours are 8:30-5pm (time zones differ) So outputs for the following would be;17 June 2025 3:00pm → 17 June 2025 5:00pm → 2.017 June 2025 3:00pm → 18 June 2025 3:00pm → 7.817 June 2025 3:00pm → 18 June 2025 5:00pm → 9.817 June 2025 3:00pm → 24 June 2025 3:00pm → 46.8 I’m open to doing this more simply via the base design if the formula is too difficult to write (e.g having the employee select from a drop down to say ‘full days
We have created a Provider Directory on our website, and we got feedback requesting a map to accompany the list. We have created a "Sandbox base" where we're trying out the AirTable Map extension, but I'm wondering if there's a way to display the map *next to* the table on our website (or above or below but specifically *with* the table).I see that it doesn't embed, but is there a way for a developer to do it if we hired someone? Any other suggestions if not?(I already tried the other map extension called MapChart and confirmed theirs won't display externally at all.)Thanks!Erin
