I joined Airtable in September to lead product development following the Bending Spoons acquisition. Since then the team and I have spent most of our time listening to builders, admins, partners, and a great many of you here. The passion, expertise, and ingenuity of the Airtable community is unlike any other I’ve encountered, and it’s thanks to you that Airtable has become what it is. Today we published a full update on what’s next, and I wanted to come and share the main points here too, starting with the hardest one. We’re parting ways with several members of the pre-acquisition team, many of whom will be leaving by the end of the week. We believe a smaller, more agile team is the best way to deliver on the plans we have, but that doesn’t make this decision easier. Hey Airtable Community,We're excited to share that threaded replies are now available across the Airtable Community!Example in actionWhat's changed?You can now reply directly to a specific reply in any topic — not just the original post. This means related back-and-forth stays together instead of getting lost in a long, linear comment thread. How it worksReply to any reply. See a response you want to follow up on? Hit reply on that specific comment to start a thread beneath it. Threads nest up to three levels. If you reply to a third-level comment, your response will appear as a second-level reply with an automatic @mention of the person you're responding to so the conversation always stays connected. Easy to navigate. Nested replies are sorted oldest-first so the conversation reads naturally, and a "Show more replies" option keeps longer threads tidy. Hi everyone! I'm AP, a Product Manager at Airtable working on some of our strategic portfolio management features. Over the past several months we've shipped a set of upgrades to timelines, date dependencies, and duration fields that make Airtable a much stronger home for managing real projects and portfolios. Here's what's new, with a few examples of where each one helps. Nested timelinesYour projects are hierarchies, and now your project timeline is too. You can nest tasks inside other tasks, up to 7 levels deep, then collapse a parent task down to a single bar or expand it to see every sub-task underneath. It's the same nesting and the same depth you already have in List View, so a plan reads the same way wherever you're working. Say you're building a home. A parent task like Concrete Work can roll up its sub-tasks, and each of those can break down further into the individual steps, like placing rebar, pouring footings, and curing the slab. Hi everyone,Two quality-of-life improvements just landed in Automations, both aimed at making it easier to pass data from one step of your automation to the next. Insert as JSONWhen you're inserting dynamic data into a later action, you've always been able to pull in individual values one at a time. Now there's a faster option: you can insert a whole group of related data at once with the new "Insert as JSON" token. This works for both a single group of details (an object) and a list of items (an array).This is especially handy when you're working with data that has a lot of nested detail, like the response from an incoming webhook trigger or the output of a "Generate structured data" action. Instead of drilling in and picking each property by hand, you can grab the whole thing in one step.You'll see one of two versions, depending on where you're inserting it:**Insert as JSON string** — appears when you're inserting into a text field. **Insert as JSON data** — appears for inputs on the

Here's what's new: More granular interface permissions1. Grant Add and Delete permissions separatelyYou can now grant Add and Delete record permissions independently for table-constrained layouts in interfaces, so a collaborator can add records without the power to delete them. 2. Configure creation permissions per levelYou can now set permissions for each level of a multi-level list, instead of one setting for the whole page. Better collaboration through Comments3. Use bold, italics and hyperlinks in commentsComments now support basic rich-text formatting, so you can emphasize the important parts, add hyperlinks, and make longer comments much easier to read. 4. More automations on every plan!It’s one of your most requested changes, so I am pleased to announce that everyone now has more room to automate.We have increased the caps of unique automations on EVERY PLAN from a fixed 50 to:75 for Free 100 for Teams 150 for Business 200 for EnterpriseThis applies to unique automations; automation run limits remain unchanged. 2. Delete a record from an automationYou can now delete a record as an automation action, no script or workaround required. 3. Compare two date fields in Find recordsFind records Dynamic comparison has now been extended to support date fields. That means automations can now compare one date field to another directly, so date-relative

Omni now works faster, takes on much bigger jobs, and plans and executes the work from start to finish instead of handling one request at a time, keeping you updated on changes made along the way.Bring your messy data in Open Omni in an existing base, upload some files, and ask it to build your workflow based on the data you shared. It works out how your data is structured and creates the necessary tables and fields on your behalf. Omni supports CSV, Excel, TSV,and JSON along with PDFs, Word docs, PowerPoint, Google Docs and Slides, Markdown, and images. Upload up to 10 files at a time, 10 MB each. Build a custom interface page Describe the page you want and Omni will write the code, build the page, and add it to your interface.
