I make Airtable to Sheets, a Google Sheets add-on, so read it knowing that.Why the built-in automation makes duplicates: the Google Sheets action in Airtable automations can only add a row. It can't find a row and update it. So "When record updated" plus "Add row" gives you a new row on every edit.The options:CSV export. Download the view and import it into Sheets. Fine once a month. Attachment links in the file expire within hours. Make or Zapier. Put the Airtable record ID in a sheet column and search for it. Update the row when it's found and add one when it isn't. It works. Deletes won't carry over unless you build that path too. A sync add-on inside Sheets. It lives in the Sheets sidebar: choose a base, table and view, and the records come in. Hi, I am a project manager for a creative team of 11 people (designers, videographers, editors, and strategists) working on an in-house marketing team. We currently use Airtable  to track our work- using a job input form to collect project details, and project status fields to keep track of our work. We use a separate program for our internal creative reviews (Workzone). We are exploring what it would look like to move our entire process on to Airtable, ever since learning more about the proofing features, and portals- to work with freelancers. As we start to make a plan it would be sooo helpful to see a real life example of how other creative teams have organized their environment and workflow. I am looking for a video or screenshots of a REAL life example from a real creative team that is doing this already. How did you set up your resources and attachments? How do you collaborate/comment/review? Would love to see some ideas to help my team get excited about what is possible.

Looking to hire a consultant that provide an audit and clean up of our data and workflow in Airtable.  Seems that several workflows are starting to break.  

I have been using top-tier Airtable since 2021. I have a very complex workspace with 100k records coming and going, 100+ users, I use new features before they are even announce, I know the stuff.Airtable should minimze the development of AI features that only work to deceive small users with the “Agents Hype”.Please, PLEASE!! Lets come back to the good old days when features were really ground breaking, really hard-core for builders and high-end users. Remember the releases of “two-way sync”, “interfaces”? This is year “What’s New” page is just sad.Airtable is getting PAINFULLY slow when you have a few syncs and formulas. Improvements in performance should be a priority over AI slop.

Wanted to share something fun instead of client work for once. My family plays Five Crowns pretty regularly, and I got tired of losing score notebooks, so I built a proper tracker in Airtable.How it's structured:Log Scores — one row per player per game, with a column for each card value (3s through Kings). Game Total is a formula summing across all the value columns per row. Games — one row per game, pulling in all players via linked records, with a formula surfacing the Winner (lowest score wins in Five Crowns) and Lowest Score. Leaderboard — rollup/formula-driven view showing Games Played, Total Wins, Win Rate %, and Total Points per player, so bragging rights update automatically. (My data currently confirms one very smug family member is undefeated. 👑)It's genuinely nothing fancy — no automations, no interfaces layered on top — but it was a fun small problem to solve with linked records + rollups, and I figured other card-game households might get some use out of it.Grab your own

I've been seeing questions about managing complex contracts in Airtable - where each agreement needs different clauses, exhibits, or terms depending on the deal. Maintaining separate Word or Google Docs versions for each variation doesn't scale.The approach: Instead of duplicating documents, each clause and exhibit is a reusable Airtable record. I have been working on a quote-to-invoice workflow with our users in Airtable and wanted to share the setup in case it helps others building a similar process.The common issue is that a quote and its final invoice contain much of the same information: client details, products or services, quantities, prices, tax, and totals. Once a client accepts the quote,manually recreating that data for an invoice creates duplicate work and can introduce errors. Workflow overviewThis is the flow I use:Create a Quote record in Airtable with the client, line items, totals, and related project information. Change the quote status to Sent. An automation generates a PDF quote and emails the client an e-signature link. The client reviews and signs the quote from that link. Once every signer has completed the signature, a field on the linked Invoice record updates to Accepted. I’ve noticed that sometimes Airtable is unavailable for a couple of hours, and when I look through the incident history, I find there has already been a couple outages this year. Some of the systems I build for clients in industries like accounting or payroll systems needs 24/7 access, or at least a backup plan that kicks on while airtable gets fixed. Is there any known or solid method to provide a backup system when airtable shuts down?It’s been very unnerving to have clients tell me they can’t get on their systems that they need to operate their business.

People in Fashion loves Excel, so one of the great things about Airtable is for onboarding you can make it feel a bit like Excel.Another thing people in fashion love is printing. Lots of printing. Especially product images with annotations that explain exactly how a garment should be made or changed and is a core part of the production process. Those printouts often end up on a sewing machine somewhere on the other side of the world, where the person making the garment doesn't have access to Airtable.And this is where things become difficult.
