YES! Yes, yes, yes! They are finally here!!! Airtable is a relational database. As such, it allows you to link records from one table to record(s) from a different table and keep such relationship on both sides.However, there are interesting use cases in which you’d want to link records from one table to records from the exact same table. For example, you might want to have one unique table for Tasks and handle hierarchy between them (e.g. Parent task, and Sub Task(s)).When creating a linked record field to its own table, you would have seen that only one field was created (the one you did manually). You would call this field Child Tasks for example, and link through it the child tasks to any parent task. However, the inverse relationship (backlink) would not be tracked anyway -meaning which are the parent tasks for each child tasks. To such effect we used to have to create yet an additional linked record field to the same Tasks table, and create all sort of nasty automations and scrip

The current summary stats for linked record fields are only Empty/Filled/% Empty/% Filled. Would love to be able to calculate Unique (in particular when you cannot link multiple records). A fictionalized use case:I have two tables: a list of contacts and a list of companies. Each contact has a linked record to a single company. I would like to be able to see a count how many companies are represented by a filtered group of contacts -- either in the data view or in an interface. A workaround would be to go to the companies table, and filter to companies that are linked to a contact.However, sometimes I only want to calculate this for a subset of contacts. Currently the best solution (to my knowledge) would be to create a roll-up field in the company table that counts linked contacts who match the relevant criteria and count the number of contacts using this formula.

I would like a formula that take a blockchain address in string form and converts it to its case-sensitive checksum format.  For instance calling this function on ‘0xc02aaa39b223fe8d0a0e5c4f27ead9083c756cc2’  would return  ‘0xC02aaA39b223FE8D0A0e5C4F27eAD9083C756Cc2’ The process is fairly simpleConvert the original Ethereum address into lowercase. Compute the SHA-3 hash of the lowercases address. Take the first 40 characters of the hash (which is a 64-character hexadecimal string) and replace the corresponding characters in the original lowercase address. If a character in the hash is a letter (A-F), then the corresponding character in the address should be uppercase. If a character in the hash is a number (0-9), then the corresponding character in the address should be left as lowercase. There are some functionalities that are only available in the app. If you embed a view on a site it will pop-up a message with the link to the app.The problem is that the message is at the bottom of the embed frame. If you frame is large the user can not see the pop-up as it needs to scroll down.I’d like the pop-up to appear at the top.

Here's a quick guide on how to use a Make Webhook to trigger updates in Airtable!  Here's a link to the base where it's set up, and I've also included the JSON for the scenario at the end of this post in case anyone would like to just import the scenario directly into their Make account instead!One thing to keep in mind with this method is that it will open a new tab for the user, so it's important to close these tabs once they've been used. I've seen a rare case where webhook tabs opened on an iPad weren't closed right away. Hi community, In the past months I’ve been running a new service that can watch your Airtable schema - or even data - and react in real time. It started alongside my Stripe invoicing product, and now also includes a changelog for fields and tables. This is especially useful in larger bases where several people change tables and the overall structure can shift without anyone noticing. The schema changelog works simply: it reacts to field and table changes right away and can either send events to your webhook or log them in a dedicated Schema Changes table. If you use the table approach, you can review the history yourself and keep track of what your colleagues or clients have modified.
