Hi Everyone, I have a weird issue with Airtable Forms that I’ve been kicking around for quite some time and wanted to see if anyone else might have a similar experience. I have 2 different forms that I have for our Leadership team that allow them to submit the following content:Multiple photos or video, potentially bigger files (50MB - 1GB) Long Text field Questionnaire that require 4-6 paragraph responses 90% of the time, everything is received without issue, but more notably with the photo submissions, sometimes it doesn’t submit or create the record. I originally assumed it’s user error, where maybe they’re not waiting until they get the confirmation message, but I have Leads insisting that they submitted and saw the confirmation, yet nothing gets recorded. Quick note, I’ve had reports of this happening with both public-access users and Airtable users. This is not a new issue; I’ve been receiving these reports for ~2 years, but it never occurs often enough to be a big issue, and I
Hi,I have Google Drive links to images in an attachment field. Is there a way to enable batch downloading of all the files in the field from an interface page, preferrably in a zip file? And further, a way to first select a number of the files, then download them all in one go?I tried prompting Omni to create that in a custom page, but despite it saying it had done it, there was no button for it :).Googling or Omin gave me this, but no further details. There used to be an extension but it was last updated 2022 and required an MiniExtensions subscription so no go: If you need to download all images in bulk, consider using Airtable’s built-in export or attachment download features, or explore third-party tools that support bulk downloading of attachments from Airtable. Cheers,Björn
This might be a dumb question, but it’s not obvious to me: when giving users permission to sort, filter, group etc. in an interface page, will this affect the interface as a whole or only for that user? E.g. I set up a specific filter and sorting, give users the ability to filter for something themselves and someone adds another filter - will this then affect the filtering for everyone or just themselves???I would like to give them the option to filter, but for the different tabs I’ve got specific filters set up that I don’t want changed on the high level…Can someone enlighten me? Thanks!!
I’m created a new Interface and when I add new groups, fields, data, etc., I see it replicated into ALL existing interfaces.I thought Interface creations were independent from one another. Why are my existing Interfaces being updated with new data/groupings when I’m working in a new one (that was not duplicated from any existing record)? It’s very confusing for the teams who don’t need access to all the details. For instance, I run a real estate brokerage and my photography interface is meant to give details about the property and the SEO I want used in the videos created for the property. I have specific groups set up to quickly select which group of data needs to be seen for the objective. Now when I’m creating a new interface for buyers to see all properties, the details I put into this new interface are duplicating over to my existing photography interface and sharing new details that I don’t need the photographer to see. Why? This wasn’t always this way. I have several independent i
Hi,Looking at our photo studio order handling and logistics function, I’m wondering how to build an interface for selecting images to to be printed for each customer. Currently communicated by e-mail between the client handling personnel and the logistics personnel, I want to have it inside Airtable. One should be able to view one client’s project, select which print product to order, then select which images to be printed, perhaps select a separate album cover image etc. With this information in the database I’ll build an interface for the people placing the actual orders in the vendor’s system (eagerly awaiting the day when the vendor would be able to accept an electronic order of some sort..).The images are on Google Drive, and we have them linked to an attachment field via an automation (I think, can’t quite remember how this was built).I can show the images on a record picker interface, probably also in a gallery view, open to view them larger and allow comments, download them, but
In the Interface page, when you click “Share Interface” and go to “Invite via link” under “Invite Collaborators”, the next window has a drop-down to pick to share which interface. It doesn’t make sense AT ALL whichever you pick. The link would share all interface anyway! Then what’s the point having that option here! You mislead people that other interface would not be shared, instead the other information has already leaked!
I’m creating Airtable Interfaces where stakeholders can select a record themselves and view its data across multiple categories/charts. This works well for most fields, but I’m facing an issue specifically with linked record fields.After the stakeholder selects a linked record, the chart displays the correct data, but the filter shows it as “Unnamed {type} record” instead of displaying the actual linked record name.Is there a way to make the filter display the linked record’s actual name? Screenshots attached. Filter shows correct names of linked recordAfter selection filter shows unnamed {type}
I am working with a small nonprofit foreign language school. I need to create a report that shows the # students in attendance each quarter. I have the following tables:StudentsClassesAttendance Each Attendance record has the following fields:Class session ID Date of session Class (each class is specific to a year, so FY26 Eng100) Class Hours (# hours per session) Year-Quarter (a formula field that calculates year & quarter based on date of session. ie 2026 Q2) Students present # Students presentEach Student record has the following fields:Student name current classes (each class is specific to a year, so FY26 Eng100) previous classes attendance (which links to Attendance, and lists all the class sessions that student has attended) quarters in attendance (rollup field: source is Attendance, rolls up ArrayUnique of Year-Quarter) Rollup fields of # hours attended each quarter: “2025 Q4 Attendance hours”, “2026 Q1 Attendance Hours” Etc Demographic data about student (region, age, gend
I have been working with a free music festival for several years. I’m wondering about using an airtable interface to display our musicians on our publicly facing website and would appreciate any thoughts about that. Wellfleetporchfest.orgThe festivals data is all on Airtable and our website is on Squarespace. We have 60 bands participating at 30 venues. All of this is sorted out and tracked in Airtable. We display bands, with all their publicly relevant data in blog posts on Squarespace. This looks nice, but its a lotta manual data entry every year for an all volunteer crew since there is no way to import data to the blog component.I’ve started to look the the interface option in Airtable and its pretty flexible, but I’m on a free plan and cant see how it actually works - we run this show on a shoe string. Is an interface really embedable? Would this be a better option for us?Thanks in advance for your thoughts!
Did a search for this and found nothing but wondering if there is anyone else that would see some sort of hierarchy levels functionality like from the list view in timeline views. Not just grouping. Not quite sure of how it would work completely but I keep feeling like it would be useful.
Looking for the ability to hide or show a button, or field based on the logged in user, against a user field for the record. This is not different than how a filter shows/hides records based on the logged in user. Not having this capability means I need to duplicate the interface I am working on for each user persona, which is not good design. AFAIK there is not a native workaround – AT product team could you please give an update on this function? Thanks, Enterprise User and MVP
Issue:When using an Airtable Interface with dropdown or filter elements, selecting specific options (e.g., filtering records) resets to default after opening a record and returning to the list view. The interface does not retain or restore user selections, even within the same session. Expected Behavior:The interface should remember or restore the user’s dropdown/filter selections after navigating back to the list view, either automatically or via a “Save View” button.
Hello,I am creating public views of an interface page for our partner school districts that are involved in our study of service-learning. I am learning the 3-level list view by trial and error; it just doesn’t work the way I think it should (backwards!). I have somehow set the size of Level 2 (the Course) to large font. Instead, I would like level 3 (Educator) to have the large font, and Level 3 (the Educator teaching the course) to have normal sized font. I must have set this somewhere, but I can’t find it again. Any tips on where to look? Thanks,Pam
Hi there Is it possible to automatically list records like this on an interface please? Thanks,Kieran
Hello, I would like to know if anyone else has experienced editor mode not saving your work. I have two interfaces I am testing out. One is on my personal account, and the other interface is accessed from my work account. Unfortunately, both are having the same problem. In published mode, you can see everything perfectly and all of the functions I’ve added. However, in editor mode some of the work has not been saved. This has happened on both interfaces from my personal and work account. I used the overview template and added another interface page to connect to a list. The bad thing is that when I go to edit the interface it has reset the main page completely causing me to lose the progress on my work. I really implemented a lot of features and some new features. I am new to Air Table, so it takes a long time to build. It seems that the work that is not saving is only specific to page view, which is known as the main page in list view. I really like how list view looks but in edit mod
Hi all. I’m trying to edit the displayed fields inside the Record Picker when inside of a List View, inside of an Interface. I found information saying that these fields will be ordered the same as the “View” selected when limiting the record selection in the field, but this has not been the case for me. If I disable the “Limit record selection to a View”, nothing changes either (I read it’s supposed to take the fields from the top grid view, but this didn’t happen). Furthermore, the “Primary” field being displayed is not even the primary field for the table (I checked that I’m not using the option to use a different display field). Is this a bug?
Hi I’m going to try my best to explain our existing set up - if anyone can support with an idea or workaround to achieve this please let me know! Main table has our Programme Deliveries listed. On the interface I’ve got our Programme Deliveries listed under the Record View. On a Programme Delivery I have created the option to add Sessions, which include the session topic, date etc. On the Programme Delivery record you can add participants also. What I’m looking at doing is clicking on a Session then marking a Participant’s attendance. I want to mark their attendance against that same session record I’ve opened. Hope this makes sense. Thanks!
Can I add our Company Logo to Interface pages and add it to printed documents from the interface page?
Hello - I’d be grateful if someone can help. I’ve started using Pivot tables in Dashboard Interfaces. One problem I have is that the table seems to occupy a default size and this results in the columns being too wide. I’ve put an example of a simple frequency table of fruits below. You’ll see the name of the fruit in each row is a long way from the corresponding count number. Is there a way to reduce the column width (or otherwise reformat) so that the label and number can be right next to each other (as in standard pivot tables in Excel/Sheets)? Thanks for any tips you can share!
Hello all,I was looking in the forum, I didn’t find anything really matching this query, so here I am.Idea: have a single dropdown menu to choose an option and once it is selected the user clicks on a button to display a form (form associated to the option selected on the drop down menu).Notes: initially, no intention to use anything outside portals interface, I know there are tools out there, really good ones, with a lot of interesting features, but right now I want to know if I am hitting a portals UI limit or if there is a solution or kind of solution available within the AT platform.I am just asking if someone got hit by the same idea/issue and found a solution. It is also valid if I hear feedback like… “I tried everything, omni, script… nothing worked, ended up with fillouts”. That’s also a valuable info and I really appreciate it.Alternatively, I was thinking on play around with forms/add record pages and play with conditional visibility to adjust the form fields based on initial
I have an editable linked field in a record detail. How can I set the display order when selecting the record to link to?
We need comments to remain. Is there a way of either turning off ‘resolve’ comments capability, or, displaying resolved comments?
Does anyone have or know of this? I would love a quick reference to consult when building an interface page so I dont have to realize halfway through Ive used the wrong layout and have to start over. If no one has one, Ill create it and post it-Thanks!
Someone on my team ran into an issue on a form where their selection on a rating field is not being retained visually on dark mode. See example of dark vs light: Thankfully the value is still being retained by the form on the backend, so this isn’t a game breaking bug, but it is definitely an annoyance for the people on my team. While this is probably a known issue, I figured I’d report just in case. Hopefully this is a simple fix. Thanks!Josh
Context: I am using the Forms interface, not form view. I previously published this form, then we redesigned it and removed a field. I am getting this error, while in editing mode, that says “The form cannot be submitted because some of the fields have been deleted.” The field was deleted from this table, how do I remove this from my form so it can accept submissions?
