Hi!Is there any way to create collapsible sections or groups in Airtable Interfaces when building one from scratch?We’d like to keep the interface clean, while still having access to additional or less frequently used fields when needed.If this isn’t supported natively, does anyone have a good workaround?Thanks!

I am not able to + icon in timeline view, even though Add / Delete record button is enabled. Can anyone please suggest the look around?

I’m working on an interface that is all connected to Property Projects through the Record Picker. I’m trying to create elements that pull data from the subject property through the Record Picker. For example, I’m creating a Comps element. However, I need the comps to pull only from the Property selected in the Record Picker. It’s prompting me to create a condition, however, I don’t have the Record Picker as an option. What am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance! 

unfortunately there is no way for 3rd party clients to update an existing record ussing forms. it creates a new one upon submission. it would be great if users can click on a link which opens up a partially filled in form > they fill it in even further and hit ‘ update’. updates existing record rather than creating another.

When I choose Blank Layout on Create Interface and add grid element manually, my right panel looks like this. When I choose List Layout to start, my right panel looks like this : How can I have this second option when I add grid element manually.

I had Omni build a Form for users to collect new record information. It has two levels: Claims and Claim Details. I wanted it to allow a user to create a new “Claim” and the continue to add each new “Claim detail record” from this same form. It works in the regular interface, but as a form it only allows the user to select from existing “Claim Details.” Is there a setting for that field that I need to change in order to adds new detail records?

Good day.I was tasked to give the following:“Ideally I would like to see the top 15 and the bottom 15 courses delivered per year. So maybe all courses that have a number of time delivered and then a section with all the courses that had no delivery in 2025.” Below, I’ve grouped a grid element by first the year, and the times a course delivered, to at least sort it out.  How, would you all suggest a “pretty” way of achieving the request? 

I’ve seen similar questions asked, but I can’t quite find the solution I’m looking for.I manage a fairly large (~2000 item) equipment inventory. I have a system to check items in and out to different people, projects and locations. Basically, I have a table of inventory items, and a table of in/out transactions that links to the inventory table and includes quantity checked out, destination, program, etc. I also have a form for various users in the company to create a transaction record, and dynamic fields in the inventory table to keep track of how much inventory is available, and how much is checked out and to whom. I’m designing a system for a client who produces enviromental survey reports They currently use Word, but non-technical staff keep breaking formatting and formulas. Of course it takes up a lot of time too because different people have to enter information they collected into the word document. What I need is:• Staff enter data via forms only • Calculations happen automatically• The report is generated as a branded, locked PDF• Users cannot edit layout or structure• Supports repeating sections (multiple findings per report) What is the best way to implement this in Airtable?Should this be done with Airtable alone, or via integrations (e.g. Docupilot, Make, Zapier), and what is the most robust architecture to prevent users from breaking templates?

For context - I’m a literary agent and I’m trying to create a way to have a ‘live’ brochure of clients who are available for writer for hire gigs that I can share with editors. I’ve created a form which the clients can use to add and edit their details whenever they want and at the moment I have this set up to feed to a gallery interface just through the airtable interface section. It works reasonably well, but the long text field doesn’t seem to have a space big enough assigned to it in the display so a lot of the text is being cut off and I don’t want editors to be able to open the record because there’s other information there that I don’t want them to see. It’s also cutting off if the authors select more than 4 genres which is a bit frustrating.  Is there a way to adjust how the gallery interface deals with data display? Or is there another option within airtable I could look at that would enable me to customise more? I’m not very familiar with interf

Can someone guide me on whether there is a way to nest views under major topics/departments? For example, our photo team might want to have different ‘Views’ they use, but I want to group all of their views under one department. Our ecomm team also has different views, but I want to nest them all under ecomm. I work with between multiple departments, so I want to see views grouped by department (photo, ecomm, production, retail, etc.). We are in the beginning phase of setting up airtable for our teams so we are still learning how this all functions. Thank you for your help!

Quick question / feature request: Would it be possible to make the Calendar view in Interfaces scrollable (vertically or horizontally), instead of navigating month by month using the arrows? An infinite scroll would make it much easier to:  View multiple months at once Drag and reschedule calendar items several weeks or months ahead (e.g. 1–2 months forward)

when i use the interface (not editing pages, but actually use the interface) it is really slowi have around 3 bases and interfaces that are my company main bases and we use them dailythey are slow, to load up a list of records (10-20 records, filtered from a 5K records table) takes 4-5 seconds, this make my work lagalso, search by one term is slowmoving between interface pages is slow, each page take at least 3 seconds to load not to mention the mobile app… is it fixable? is it just the way it is?

Hi, I’m new to Airtable and have been working on this for 24 hours straight. I tried hard to find a Discord server for it, but sadly, there isn’t one.The main point is: I want to display a single piece of data alongside a bar chart in the interface. I keep getting confused about how to do it. Even ChatGPT misunderstands the issue as something related to login and doesn’t provide exact guidance. So, could someone kindly help me with this?

I genuinely for the life of me cannot create a second interface. im on a teams plan thats set to expire in a few months so i did downgrade but should still have benefits from it.I have a table with 23 rows that I want to give to clients. the link and everything works great and they can take all the actions required.Where I’m having issues is when I try to create a second interface, I click new interface and it just adds it as a page. I genuinely do not see a way to create a second interface.I even go back to “data” then back to “interfaces” and it just puts me back into edit mode for the first interface.Genuinely losing my mind

Hello Community.I want to create a form where the user is inputting an on-call schedule. They will add a technician’s name and the dates he is covering, then if they have another technician, then they add the next technician’s name and dates he is covering.Since Airtable Forms does NOT support “Add another” button in the same form. I need a work around for a form that would have repeatable sections.An internet search told me I need two linked forms – but I can’t find anything to help me do thatThis is what I have. A table for the On-call schedule where a year of weeks is set up with the start and end dates for that week, and the property.I then have a On-call Assignments table that has the technician’s name, the work week they are assigned.Then I have two forms that I want it to seem logical for the user to fill out and,  I want the tables to logically be; This technician → belongs to → THIS schedule → At this property

I created a schedule but when I share the public link I want any user if they click the location it the address comes up. If they click a person their email and phone number come up. There is other information connected to each person so I don’t want everything to be shown just those fields. It works correctly for me when I’m in the edit screen of the interface but when use the public link I get a message that says “Record details are not available.” The fields of these areas are all “Link To”. Any help you can give would be great. I have gone into the User Actions, toggled it on and clicked into the details. The permissions are View Only and list the areas with the information I need. If anyone has any ideas let please let me know. Thank you! 

Is there a way to add an outlook email as an attachment that can be opened and viewed later? Currently we can add the email in the attachment field but when trying to open it, it looks like gibberish. I can download then, but would rather not add that step to an otherwise simple workflow.   

Hello, we have an issue with the urls of the records on the interfaces.We have basically 2 interfaces 1 for our project manager and one for our dev team.The issue is when we try to share a record url from the interface to our dev team they can’t access the url because they have their own interface even if the record is basically the same.So how to solve this issue? Any idea or workaround?We need to have different interfaces for different teams and is a pity we could not cross share records url. Thanks a lot!

HI everyone,I have an interface setup for my iPhone and iPad. If I open the interface do some work and leave it open to come back to. When I do come back to it, say 5mins later, the app will reset and request I sign back in. I’m on an iPhone 14 and iOS is up to date. I’ve deleted the Airtable app and reinstalled.Is this common issue? Did I miss something on the Interface setup? Should I access the Interface differently?

Are there plans to have the ability to create more than three heirachy levels? The use case is as follows: I would like to be able to create a hierachy that includes: InitiativesEpicsProjects/FeaturesStoriesTasksCurrently I can only link the bottom three

I’m looking at building an interface to streamline inputting some information but before I think about redesigning my current database I just want to check if it’s possible to create an interface that would allow information to be updated across multiple tables?Even more complicated, would it be possible for the interface to react live to automations? To try to give a bit of context I want to have a contract table where the top line contract information is kept - as part of this an automation creates different versions of a product linked to that contract in an editions table…Could an interface handle me entering the contract detail and then have the editions appear ready to be edited?  

I have an interface - created as a blank interface, and I am using  an existing table to enter the info. How do I go about printing this?What I really need is a clear place for me to click into a record and see all the info at once - like a PDF (I should be able to design it, very specifically), I should be able to switch between records very easily, and print easily and neatly. Any ideas?
