unfortunately there is no way for 3rd party clients to update an existing record ussing forms. it creates a new one upon submission. it would be great if users can click on a link which opens up a partially filled in form > they fill it in even further and hit ‘ update’. updates existing record rather than creating another.

All records in the timeline have a WBS code, for example 1.17.2, and also a zero-padded version like 001.017.002. In a grid view this allows clean hierarchical sorting without any issues.However, in the timeline view the records are still arranged primarily by start date. As shown in the screenshot, the configured sort on the WBS Sort field is not reflected in the vertical order.Is there any way to force the timeline to display records strictly according to the hierarchical WBS order instead of by start date?

My kanban columns are not in order. How can I change them? I have a labelled order on the data table but this isn’t translating over in my interface kanban view.  

Hi community!I'm building a Custom Interface Extension (with Claude Code) and want to add the native Airtable comments section to my detail view - just like you can add it in the Interface Designer.Question: Is there a component or method to embed the native comments UI in a Custom Interface Extension?What I've tried: Searching for components like RecordComments, CommentSection in @airtable/blocks interface-alpha SDK Using expandRecord() - but this opens a separate modal instead of inline display Building a custom solution via REST API (works, but missing @mention autocomplete)  What I want:  The same comments section you get in Interface Designer - with all features like:Inline display (no modal) @mentions with autocomplete Profile pictures Full comment threadIs this possible? Or is the only option to build everything custom via the Comments RES

I am trying to figure out how to show growth of a set of records over time, cumulatively. I have created a column in my table that shows the date of when each new record was added, but when I try to graph that in Interfaces, it seems to only let me show to total number of records added in each given month, I can’t figure out how to make a chart that shows the new monthly total added to the previous monthly total to give cumulative growth over the course of the year. I have found a few previous help questions that were similar, but it seems like no one really got an answer. Is this impossible in Airtable?

I can’t see a way to do this so presume I am missing something. So here I need to see the average value of a call booked which is different than the avg cash collected per closed call. I want to see Total cash collected divided by total calls booked. How can I make this show on an interface?I think its a bit bonkers you can’t just do a simple sum on an interface with the figures of that interface. Am I missing something or is this actually not possible? Help much appreciated. Cheers 

Hi everyone,I'm tracking daily ad performance data (Meta Ads) in Airtable and displaying it in an Interface. Each row represents one day for one ad set, containing raw metrics like Spend, Impressions, Clicks, and Conversions. The problem:I need to display metrics like CPM, CPC, and CTR for flexible date ranges (sometimes 2 days, sometimes 70 days, always varying). However, Airtable Interfaces only offer "Average" as an aggregation option, which gives mathematically incorrect results for these metrics.For example: The correct CPM for a period should be (Total Spend / Total Impressions) × 1000, not the average of daily CPMs.What I've tried:I can display "Sum" for Spend and "Sum" for Impressions separately, but there's no way to divide these two aggregated values within the Interface to get the correct CPM.My question:Is there any native Airtable workaround to calculate form

I’m designing a system for a client who produces enviromental survey reports They currently use Word, but non-technical staff keep breaking formatting and formulas. Of course it takes up a lot of time too because different people have to enter information they collected into the word document. What I need is:• Staff enter data via forms only • Calculations happen automatically• The report is generated as a branded, locked PDF• Users cannot edit layout or structure• Supports repeating sections (multiple findings per report) What is the best way to implement this in Airtable?Should this be done with Airtable alone, or via integrations (e.g. Docupilot, Make, Zapier), and what is the most robust architecture to prevent users from breaking templates?

Can someone guide me on whether there is a way to nest views under major topics/departments? For example, our photo team might want to have different ‘Views’ they use, but I want to group all of their views under one department. Our ecomm team also has different views, but I want to nest them all under ecomm. I work with between multiple departments, so I want to see views grouped by department (photo, ecomm, production, retail, etc.). We are in the beginning phase of setting up airtable for our teams so we are still learning how this all functions. Thank you for your help!

I have an interface that I use to visualize key data for our clients. There’s a record picker at the top where the client name can be selected. However, we have some clients that fall under a larger parent company, and for those I’d like to aggregate their data into 1 dashboard per parent org.I tried to create a version of the interface in a dashboard layout, but when I do and create a new group from the Clients table where most of the data is stored, it won’t let me create a filter based on the client name (only other fields in the client table show as options).Please help! Has anyone else encountered this? Have you figured out solutions/workarounds?

Quick question / feature request: Would it be possible to make the Calendar view in Interfaces scrollable (vertically or horizontally), instead of navigating month by month using the arrows? An infinite scroll would make it much easier to:  View multiple months at once Drag and reschedule calendar items several weeks or months ahead (e.g. 1–2 months forward)

For context - I’m a literary agent and I’m trying to create a way to have a ‘live’ brochure of clients who are available for writer for hire gigs that I can share with editors. I’ve created a form which the clients can use to add and edit their details whenever they want and at the moment I have this set up to feed to a gallery interface just through the airtable interface section. It works reasonably well, but the long text field doesn’t seem to have a space big enough assigned to it in the display so a lot of the text is being cut off and I don’t want editors to be able to open the record because there’s other information there that I don’t want them to see. It’s also cutting off if the authors select more than 4 genres which is a bit frustrating.  Is there a way to adjust how the gallery interface deals with data display? Or is there another option within airtable I could look at that would enable me to customise more? I’m not very familiar with interf

Small details increasingly shape how “premium” and trustworthy a product feels.This made me reflect on Airtable’s UI, especially as it’s moving more into the app and interface builder space: Many interactions (hover states, focus changes, view switches) happen instantly and without transition effects or micro-interactions. That looks less premium and more “beginner forgot the transition effect”. UI customization is still very limited. Things like border radius, colors, backgrounds, or basic theming aren’t adjustable, which makes it hard to align Interfaces with a brand or use them confidently in customer-facing scenarios. I had Omni build a Form for users to collect new record information. It has two levels: Claims and Claim Details. I wanted it to allow a user to create a new “Claim” and the continue to add each new “Claim detail record” from this same form. It works in the regular interface, but as a form it only allows the user to select from existing “Claim Details.” Is there a setting for that field that I need to change in order to adds new detail records?

Good day.I was tasked to give the following:“Ideally I would like to see the top 15 and the bottom 15 courses delivered per year. So maybe all courses that have a number of time delivered and then a section with all the courses that had no delivery in 2025.” Below, I’ve grouped a grid element by first the year, and the times a course delivered, to at least sort it out.  How, would you all suggest a “pretty” way of achieving the request? 

I’ve seen similar questions asked, but I can’t quite find the solution I’m looking for.I manage a fairly large (~2000 item) equipment inventory. I have a system to check items in and out to different people, projects and locations. Basically, I have a table of inventory items, and a table of in/out transactions that links to the inventory table and includes quantity checked out, destination, program, etc. I also have a form for various users in the company to create a transaction record, and dynamic fields in the inventory table to keep track of how much inventory is available, and how much is checked out and to whom. when i use the interface (not editing pages, but actually use the interface) it is really slowi have around 3 bases and interfaces that are my company main bases and we use them dailythey are slow, to load up a list of records (10-20 records, filtered from a 5K records table) takes 4-5 seconds, this make my work lagalso, search by one term is slowmoving between interface pages is slow, each page take at least 3 seconds to load not to mention the mobile app… is it fixable? is it just the way it is?

I’m working on an interface that is all connected to Property Projects through the Record Picker. I’m trying to create elements that pull data from the subject property through the Record Picker. For example, I’m creating a Comps element. However, I need the comps to pull only from the Property selected in the Record Picker. It’s prompting me to create a condition, however, I don’t have the Record Picker as an option. What am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance! 

Hi, I’m new to Airtable and have been working on this for 24 hours straight. I tried hard to find a Discord server for it, but sadly, there isn’t one.The main point is: I want to display a single piece of data alongside a bar chart in the interface. I keep getting confused about how to do it. Even ChatGPT misunderstands the issue as something related to login and doesn’t provide exact guidance. So, could someone kindly help me with this?

I genuinely for the life of me cannot create a second interface. im on a teams plan thats set to expire in a few months so i did downgrade but should still have benefits from it.I have a table with 23 rows that I want to give to clients. the link and everything works great and they can take all the actions required.Where I’m having issues is when I try to create a second interface, I click new interface and it just adds it as a page. I genuinely do not see a way to create a second interface.I even go back to “data” then back to “interfaces” and it just puts me back into edit mode for the first interface.Genuinely losing my mind

Hello Community.I want to create a form where the user is inputting an on-call schedule. They will add a technician’s name and the dates he is covering, then if they have another technician, then they add the next technician’s name and dates he is covering.Since Airtable Forms does NOT support “Add another” button in the same form. I need a work around for a form that would have repeatable sections.An internet search told me I need two linked forms – but I can’t find anything to help me do thatThis is what I have.
