Interface Designer

Hi!I am looking for a workaround, where I can turn a single record with multiple dates into separate records with a single date… new records are created via FillOut.  we’re a charity delivering some programmes over multi week periods. An employee completes the fill out form, puts the dates they’d like us to deliver the programme on, and then submits the form. i can view all these dates via calendar view, but was hoping to view them via list view also but as they’re individual records it won’t work this way. sorry this probably isn’t making much sense but hoping someone will understand where I’m coming from…thanks!

We need comments to remain. Is there a way of either turning off ‘resolve’ comments capability, or, displaying resolved comments? 

After the recent update introducing new appearance styles for single select fields, I'm experiencing an issue with forms.Issue:When selecting "List" as the appearance option for a single select field in a form, the field stretches all the way to the right edge of the form, ignoring any expected width constraints.Expected behavior:The list options should be contained within a reasonable width, similar to how the dropdown appearance displays.Steps to reproduce:1.  Create or edit a form2.  Add a single select field3.  Set the appearance to "List"4.  Preview the form — the list options stretch to the full width of the formIs this a known bug being addressed, or is there a setting/workaround to control the width?Thanks in advance!

I have a custom interface created by Omni where I have a button to create a new record in a table. When I’m creating a record from this interface, I want to upload a csv file into an attachment field, however, the code isn't working. The file will appear to have been uploaded, but when I check the data table, it's not uploaded or it's uploaded in a corrupt format that doesn't load again. How can I fix this in the interface? Omni has not been able to solve for this yet.

Have you made a Custom Interface Extension using extension scripting or other options? What does it do, how did you make it and show me an example of it!! 🙌 This is more about the Extensions used in Interfaces but by all means show me your extensions 😎!!

I have an interface that is shared with non airtable users regularly and need the documents in the interface to be downloadable. The interface is shared publicly but when viewing the interface as a non user there is no download option for the attachments. How do I fix this?

Currently the resolved comments option removes the comments from the All Comments drop down, which causes a lot of users to miss them unless they know to go and toggle to a different comments view for Resolved Comments. This also negatively impacts our end users as they have to piece together everything int he All Comments with the Resolved Comments views being separate. Is it possible to pull the resolved comments into the All Comments view?

Hi everyone! 👋I’m running into a weird behavior when working with Google Sheets and wanted to see if anyone here has ideas or has run into something similar.Every time I add a new row manually (or via automation), the new row is not being added at the bottom of my sheet — instead it’s always inserting at row 1257, pushing all existing rows below that down. I expected new rows to be added to the end of the data range.Here’s what I’ve noticed so far: The sheet definitely has data below row 1257. New rows always appear at 1257, not at the lowest existing row. I’m working either manually or via a script/automation (could be Apps Script/Zapier/Make/Webhook). Has anyone seen this happen before?Does anyone know what settings, filters, named ranges, scripts, or other quirks might cause Sheets to treat row 1257 as “the end” of the sheet?Happ

I'm glad you can share an individual page in an interface. It's a decent improvement but still not the best solution. Now, if you could public share a full interface or at least the overview page, it would be such a much needed game-changer.Being able to share the Overview page of an interface with a nice cover image would be so helpful when sharing with a client or customer. It looks professional, well organized and nicely structured. Perfect if you want to share only the information without providing full access.Notion (overrated IMO) allows this (sharing of a workspace) where you can organize it and make it look professional. Currently in Airtable, when I end up haveing to share multiple URLs for different pages, clients get very overwhelmed. Being able to publicly share an interface would be incredible.

Hello, I’m working on creating a project management system for a creative studio and I want to have Airtable suggest the best assignee for a task. I have a resource table that shows availability and skill, how do I then have a resource list ranked by percentage “best match” show up? I know I have seen a webinar or tutorial showing what this looks like, but I can’t locate it anywhere. In addition to this, how can I provide a low, medium, high tier to the skills that are matched back with each resource? Is it possible to have an AI agent within Airtable reference an external knowledge base to referencing when deciding on the best match

Hello Community,Is there any way to update the two fields from the interface when I click an button using form or some other way. Current Problem:I have an automation which triggers on record update. My table as two date time fields: Start Time and End Time. And as you might know we cant enter date and time together in date-time field in Airtable. So when I set both of them it consumes 4 runs of the automation which is not efficient.Solution I am looking for:We would be mainly creating tasks from interface like this Now I dont want to have the Start Time and End Time as editable fields because then the above problem will be posed again. Is there any way where when I click the Update button it askes for Start Time and End Time and then it gets updated on airtable upon confirmatio

I would like to add a logo to an Invoice Interface .... but cannot see the option to add an Image element... I am on the free plan. Help please.

I am currently working with Airtable Interfaces and noticed that the Label component provides only basic formatting options such as Bold, Italic, and Underline. In many dashboard scenarios, we require more advanced capabilities such as: Adding dynamic field values inside the label Including conditional formatting Displaying additional contextual information Adding icons or visual indicators Supporting richer text formatting or layout control At present, the Label appears to be static and limited in customization.For reporting dashboards and operational monitoring use cases, enhanced label flexibility would significantly improve clarity and user experience.Is there any current workaround to achieve this?If not, would this enhancement be considered in the future roadmap?  For the Reference I have just a

All records in the timeline have a WBS code, for example 1.17.2, and also a zero-padded version like 001.017.002. In a grid view this allows clean hierarchical sorting without any issues.However, in the timeline view the records are still arranged primarily by start date. As shown in the screenshot, the configured sort on the WBS Sort field is not reflected in the vertical order.Is there any way to force the timeline to display records strictly according to the hierarchical WBS order instead of by start date?

I have an interface that I use to visualize key data for our clients. There’s a record picker at the top where the client name can be selected. However, we have some clients that fall under a larger parent company, and for those I’d like to aggregate their data into 1 dashboard per parent org.I tried to create a version of the interface in a dashboard layout, but when I do and create a new group from the Clients table where most of the data is stored, it won’t let me create a filter based on the client name (only other fields in the client table show as options).Please help! Has anyone else encountered this? Have you figured out solutions/workarounds?

I’m making an Airtable project where I want to show prefilled form or prefilled interface page in form layout. I’m able to prefill both but I also want to have some fields to be non-editable. Is that possible in Airtable?

Hi everyone!In Airtable Interfaces, is there a way to restrict comment notifications / @mentions so that only Admins can be mentioned (or only Admins receive the notifications)?We want interface users to be able to leave notes, but ensure that @mentions/notifications go only to our Admin team.Any best practices or recommended workaround (permissions vs automations) would be appreciated. Hi community!I'm building a Custom Interface Extension (with Claude Code) and want to add the native Airtable comments section to my detail view - just like you can add it in the Interface Designer.Question: Is there a component or method to embed the native comments UI in a Custom Interface Extension?What I've tried: Searching for components like RecordComments, CommentSection in @airtable/blocks interface-alpha SDK Using expandRecord() - but this opens a separate modal instead of inline display Building a custom solution via REST API (works, but missing @mention autocomplete)  What I want:  The same comments section you get in Interface Designer - with all features like:Inline display (no modal) @mentions with autocomplete Profile pictures Full comment threadIs this possible? Or is the only option to build everything custom via the Comments RES

As you can see below, I want to know if the users can comment with text and attachments, because I saw on the dropdown list for choosing the displaying options. I wonder if the users can comment with text and Attachments as proof or something else, it would be beneficial. 

I’m working on an interface page with the list template. One of the fields I’m trying to display in the list is date. I noticed the field had more margin than it needed so I looked for a divider and found what looked like a divider to drag it over to make it more narrow but when I clicked it actually added more width, I tried a gain and it added even more width where the date is now the only visible field and I have to scroll over just to see the other fields in my list. I can’t seem to find any way to make it shorter or even just go back to it’s original width. Could someone please help explain what I’m doing wrong and the correct way to adjust field width in the list interface template? 

My kanban columns are not in order. How can I change them? I have a labelled order on the data table but this isn’t translating over in my interface kanban view.  

I am trying to figure out how to show growth of a set of records over time, cumulatively. I have created a column in my table that shows the date of when each new record was added, but when I try to graph that in Interfaces, it seems to only let me show to total number of records added in each given month, I can’t figure out how to make a chart that shows the new monthly total added to the previous monthly total to give cumulative growth over the course of the year. I have found a few previous help questions that were similar, but it seems like no one really got an answer. Is this impossible in Airtable?

I can’t see a way to do this so presume I am missing something. So here I need to see the average value of a call booked which is different than the avg cash collected per closed call. I want to see Total cash collected divided by total calls booked. How can I make this show on an interface?I think its a bit bonkers you can’t just do a simple sum on an interface with the figures of that interface. Am I missing something or is this actually not possible? Help much appreciated. Cheers 

Hi everyone,I'm tracking daily ad performance data (Meta Ads) in Airtable and displaying it in an Interface. Each row represents one day for one ad set, containing raw metrics like Spend, Impressions, Clicks, and Conversions. The problem:I need to display metrics like CPM, CPC, and CTR for flexible date ranges (sometimes 2 days, sometimes 70 days, always varying). However, Airtable Interfaces only offer "Average" as an aggregation option, which gives mathematically incorrect results for these metrics.For example: The correct CPM for a period should be (Total Spend / Total Impressions) × 1000, not the average of daily CPMs.What I've tried:I can display "Sum" for Spend and "Sum" for Impressions separately, but there's no way to divide these two aggregated values within the Interface to get the correct CPM.My question:Is there any native Airtable workaround to calculate form
