I sometimes wonder why I still pay airtable money. For an application that claims to be good for time planning it’s mad it still doesn’t seem to be able to do time and date maths properly. I am in UK (so GMT/BST) - I want to have a date field and a separate time field, and to be able to combine these two into a calculated dateTimenothing I have tried seems to work reliably for this without jumping the date back to UTC Has anyone found a solution for what should be a trivial task?Thanks Richard

I have been trying to brainstorm a way to report on all the orders in my Airtable system. I would like to be able to pull reports based on some time measurement (weeks, months, just today, etc.). The best way that I can think of is to have a script that creates a “week record” in another table and assign orders to a week. I would then use those week records to report on.This mostly works, but it feels very chunky. Are there any better ways of doing this?

Hi community, When exporting a table view to csv, I am having rows get broken up and put on different lines. In the example, in AT, Row 26 is one line. When exported to CSV, the row breaks off at a certain field and goes to the next line. I have tried the download using the web app as well as the desktop app, and opening the csv in Excel and numbers, and get the same problem every time. Any ideas what is happening here? I can’t see any weird formatting in AT that could be making this happen.

If you have been using Omni to build interfaces which I love, I’m curious if anyone else has had this problem:Whenever I want to use a field that is a linked field (a person record from another table for example), this never displays on an Omni-built interface. I always have to build a formula field that copies the content (essentially to plain text) and use that field in my interface for it to work properly.Anyone else finding this?

I’ve been making some real progress on automating and streamlining how I, and my wider technology team, operate thanks largely to Claude and working with the new Airtable MCP. So far:I’ve got Claude to export snapshot information from Jira to support sprint reporting (FYI the Airtable Jira sync doesn’t do what I need in this instance) - removing a 30 minute job every 2 weeks for me.I’ve got Claude to read Miro roadmaps and sync the details into Airtable - much more information than the Miro API allows (Claude reads the spacial positions of each shape in relation to others which is amazing), so our visual roadmaps now sync to Airtable Initiative records. Savings are into the hours on this one. They seem to be permanent. Don’t see any “remove” option?

I’m planning an Airtable base for tracking search result data over time and would like to sanity-check the structure.The use case is keyword and competitor monitoring. An external API would return search results on a schedule, and I want to store each result with fields like query, search engine, date checked, position, title, URL, domain, and snippet.My first thought is to have one table for keywords and another table for SERP results, with each result linked back to the keyword record.For context, I work on TalorData, a Search API for SERP data, so I’m trying to understand the cleanest way people store recurring search result data in Airtable.For people who have built similar recurring data workflows, would you store each search result as a separate record, or store one full search result page as JSON in a single record?I’m leaning toward separate records because it seems easier to filter by domain, position, and date, but I’m not sure if that becomes messy as the data grows. 

Hi,I want to create an interface for users with a list of records. There should be one button for all records where an automation runs if it is clicked. The automation behind the button is to mark all filtered fields so that they can copied to another table with another automation.How can I create this button?ThanksCordu

Hi!I need to track attendance for different cohorts put on throughout the year. Each cohort has multiple sessions and multiple attendees. When attendees are linked to a cohort, I would like to automatically create attendance records for every session linked to that cohort. Attendance statuses will be updated manually later. I am having trouble setting up the looping automation. I have never set one up before and I am getting stuck. Wanting the items in the chosen lookup to be actually added to the record. 

Hi,I currently use Airtable as an HR system. I’d like to build an admin dashboard to monitor data completeness, to help me spot fields that are never or seldom used. The objective is simple: try and keep the tables as simple as possible, avoid redundant and useless fields. Complex tables, likely mean complex UI, which likely mean bad user experience. I want to avoid that.I’ve done a bit of searching but impressively enough I didn’t find any recommended solution or best practice. One option is to put a bunch of calculated fields that tell me if another field is filled or not. I’d really like to avoid that.I’m curious to know how others do it.

Be careful updating field types!I have a few automations that watch a field for updates to set a field-last-updated timestamp. I discovered that if you change the field type of a watched field from multi-user to single-user, if there is data in the field, it will consider the field “updated” and trigger the automation.This is not documented anywhere that I could find!  And it messed up my timestamps 😑

I have created an email automation thats pulling the information from our grid view. But how do I get this to go full screen as its only taking up the left side of the email.I have checked other email notification and it takes up the full screen but it looks like everything I’ve done is matched correctly. 

 Hi I am brand new to Airtables and have been looking around for a solution to this for a while but I have had no luck… I have two tables;One with Products which includes 2 different fields that display the royalty rates per product; “AU/NZ Rate”  and “ROW Rate”the Other table is a Sales Table and has a Region field that is either “AU/NZ” or ROW depending on where it was sold.How do I create a field that looks at Sales->Region and uses the value there to choose the value from  the corresponding field  in the Products table?
