I’m created a new Interface and when I add new groups, fields, data, etc., I see it replicated into ALL existing interfaces.I thought Interface creations were independent from one another. Why are my existing Interfaces being updated with new data/groupings when I’m working in a new one (that was not duplicated from any existing record)?It’s very confusing for the teams who don’t need access to all the details.For instance, I run a real estate brokerage and my photography interface is meant to give details about the property and the SEO I want used in the videos created for the property. I have specific groups set up to quickly select which group of data needs to be seen for the objective. Now when I’m creating a new interface for buyers to see all properties, the details I put into this new interface are duplicating over to my existing photography interface and sharing new details that I don’t need the photographer to see. Why? I logged into Airtable today to find a large number of fields in one base broken. When I traced back the issue throughout multiple fields, I found 7 with an Airtable alert saying “Additionally, some conditions are no longer valid. Clear invalid conditions."  When I clicked on Clear invalid conditions, the grayed out dates on the filters became black but nothing changed (see attached image). It DID fix the broken field issues, but I’m just wondering how that happened. Was it an Airtable update issue? Thanks!   

The Chatgpt plugin for Airtable doesn’t seem to recognize that it has access to automations.. I gave the following prompt Using Airtable, list all automations in the Personal CRM base. Include each automation’s name, deployment status, trigger, and actions.And it gives me the below response:  I found the Personal CRM base and confirmed full access. However, the currently installed Airtable connector does not expose automation-definition tools—only bases, tables, records, fields, interfaces, and comments.Therefore, I cannot reliably retrieve the automation names, deployment statuses, triggers, or actions through this connector. No automation list was returned.

Hi,Looking at our photo studio order handling and logistics function, I’m wondering how to build an interface for selecting images to to be printed for each customer. Currently communicated by e-mail between the client handling personnel and the logistics personnel, I want to have it inside Airtable.One should be able to view one client’s project, select which print product to order, then select which images to be printed, perhaps select a separate album cover image etc. With this information in the database I’ll build an interface for the people placing the actual orders in the vendor’s system (eagerly awaiting the day when the vendor would be able to accept an electronic order of some sort..).The images are on Google Drive, and we have them linked to an attachment field via an automation (I think, can’t quite remember how this was built).I can show the images on a record picker interface, probably also in a gallery view, open to view them larger and allow comments, download them, but

When attempting to apply a lengthly list of Sandbox changes in the appropriate order, it would be very helpful to be able to filter by whether the change is an Add/Edit/Delete change. This would allow us to quickly isolate all newly added fields, apply only those changes, and prepare data in Production prior to pushing additional changes that may be dependent on those fields existing.Additionally, it would be helpful to be able to filter by the element impacted (e.g. Data tables, Interfaces, Automations).

In the Interface page, when you click “Share Interface” and go to “Invite via link” under “Invite Collaborators”, the next window has a drop-down to pick to share which interface. It doesn’t make sense AT ALL whichever you pick. The link would share all interface anyway! Then what’s the point having that option here! You mislead people that other interface would not be shared, instead the other information has already leaked!

I’m creating Airtable Interfaces where stakeholders can select a record themselves and view its data across multiple categories/charts. This works well for most fields, but I’m facing an issue specifically with linked record fields.After the stakeholder selects a linked record, the chart displays the correct data, but the filter shows it as “Unnamed {type} record” instead of displaying the actual linked record name.Is there a way to make the filter display the linked record’s actual name? First of all: thanks for the recent MCP improvements. These are by far the most exciting and useful updates in a long time. Specially adding support for Automations and Interfaces is amazing.I’ve been using the MCP recently through Claude and Codex and it’s been great. However, there are still three limitations that don’t let me work as smoothly as I would like:The MCP doesn’t allow creating or updating automations that include Script actions, so I need to modify those manually The MCP doesn’t allow to add filters to Interfaces, so I need to add filters for things like Current User manually The MCP doesn’t allow to edit existing Interfaces, so whenever I want to make a change, I need to either recreate the whole page from scratch (spending tons of tokens in the process and losing the filters I added manually before) or edit it manuallyIf you could improve the MCP to remove these 3 limitations, it would make a big difference for me, and I’m sure that for other users as well 🙏Thanks!Áng

Washington County was established in 1777 and the county seat, Jonesborough, was established in 1779; the oldest county and town in Tennessee.  We have over a 1,000 family folders and over 400 local history folders along with books, microfilm, maps, etc. in the library genealogy collection.  We are building a searchable database on these family folders and local history folders. In this data base, we also set up through ‘extensions’ a search engine.We want to share this database with family researchers.  But we would like to share with them a “read only” database that is searchable.  This is our problem.  How can we set up a “read only” database that researchers could use?  We do not want to put this database on the internet.  Is there a way that we can set up a searchable database that is only ‘read only?’ 

I’m fairly certain the answer is going to be no, but is it possible to get/collect the accepted/rejected responses to calendar invites when sent via Automations?We have a meeting planner, we will send out invites using an automation (fairly standard) - can we accept the responses in some way to then use that information (for example, a manager declines, so we can invite their deputy)?Anyone done anything like this?

 I have a very basic question! When I use linked records, I thought the field should auto-populate, but it is not doing that. Is there any way to make that happen? Eg: I am using Airtable for a small school attendance records. There are two tables; one called 'classes' and another called 'educators'. In Classes, each Class record (such as ESL120), has educator(s) listed in the 'Teachers' field. When I add a new class, I am able to look up teachers in this field, and I can see all educators listed in the Educators table. In the Educators table, each Educator is listed. There is a linked field called Classes. I want this field to auto-populate with any classes that the educator is listed under in the Classes table. TIA!!

Hi,We have built an API that gets the data from AT and imports the data to WordPress using Custom Post Types that we built.  I have fields in AT that get formatting and when those fields are exported some of the HTML tag formatting is not totally retained.  I get bold text and paragraphs but for example not H2 tags.  The H2 tags gets replaced with ##.  Is there something I am not doing in AT or do I need to tweak something in my API or WordPress?Thanks,Stan

Hi everyone,Is there a recommended way or best practice to clearly identify which base is the Sandbox and which one is Production (live data) ?I've run into an issue where I accidentally connect to the Sandbox base instead of the real one because they have the identical name in the selection menu.Is there an interface visual indicator or a technical identifier that you use to prevent this mix-up?Thanks in advance for any tips!

I am trying to set up a more complex automation than I’ve done before and something is wrong but I can’t figure out what exactly.The base has a workflow for tasks to onboard/offboard employees. There’s an overview table and then tables with sections of tasks. So each new hire shows up on all 5 tables. On the task tables, I’ve got a field that totals the completed tasks. I want that number to automatically (when updated) to be updated for the corresponding person on the overview table so that I can do an overarching completion percentage. I had the AI tool help me try to fix it, but now the wrong data (sometimes from the wrong record, sometimes from the wrong field) is getting copied over to the overview table.
