Hi All. I have a problem that I hope is just a result of me missing something simple. I have an automation creating Outlook events from a list of Airtable holidays and birthdays. The “create” automations work fine. I was also able to capture the Event IDs from the Outlook events in the corresponding record in Airtable. Now I’m trying to generate a second automation for record updates using the event IDs and am running into an issue. When I input the data, the “Event ID” field shows up in the “Calendar” field, and the Event ID field is blank, so the automation won’t run. Photo included. Any ideas?  

Hello,I’m trying to automate the population of resumes as attachments to a candidate table once a form is submitted.  I’m having trouble getting the resume file to attach to the resume field.  When I do it like this (within a loop through the uploaded resumes), I get an error saying “Invalid String”.  That’s likely because the “ContentReference” is a JSON formatted string.  I don’t see an option to insert the resume file itself, only metadata.  How can I actually auto-insert the resume file itself? Thank you,Robert

Hi everyone,I'm helping out with the technical logistics of an in-person event. I've set up a contact database as a Base and configured an automation that triggers an email to send when the record's status updates from "pending" to "invited." The automation includes a prefilled link to Typeform which is generated from a formula (and that in turn syncs back to the base). Happily, all these aspects work fine 🙂The only unexpected hitch I've encountered is that the automation seems to have trouble passing well-formed HTML over to the sender (in this case Google Workspace. Hi, I am trying to construct a daily email to summarise data. I have all the data I need, but I cannot get the email to structure correctly. I have used HTML to make a table for the data, but when the email sends the formatting is awful. I’m looking for a way to get the table to display correctly, does anyone have any ideas? Ideally I want the table to sit in the white space with the other text I have attached a copy images to show the issue and what the raw form looks like

Is it true that Airtable is fairly limited in its ability to allow you to use HTML formatting for send email? Is the solution then to have to use SendGrid or another service that could help out with email automation?

Hey everyoneRan into something interesting and not sure what is going on.I have a table called assignment with a Start Date and End Date field that are used for Date dependencies and to calculate duration.I have an Interface button called runs an automation. In that automation is a script that will use the End Date of the record, calculate a new start date (which is one day after the end date) and a new End Date (which is 3 months after the new start date).I have another script later in the automation that will duplicate the record and insert the new start and end date into the Start Date and End Date field for the duplicated assignment.Interestingly, the Duration is not updating when the new dates are added.In the attached image the, the top record is the source and the bottom record was the duplicate created by the script.I created a test formula to calculate the works days to validate what I am seeing. Hello!I am currently working on a form and want the ability for individuals to make multiple selections and get specific emails depending on their responses. For instance, we have 3 trainings with their own Zoom calendar invite that individuals can select on the form. Lets say Jane picks Training 1 and Training 3. We have an automation to send Jane an email that contains a Zoom calendar invite for Training 1 but want an automation that will also send her Training 2 in the same email. Is that a possible automation? Or is there a different way to do this? My organization currently cannot connect Zoom to our Airtable so that isn’t a potential solution unfortunately.  Please let me know your thoughts or if you need clarification on anything!

Hi! I need some help, we have a team of people who are linking their gmail accounts so we can send email automations through their personal gmail accounts. I have the automations set up and each team member is going in to link their accounts. Four of the team members were successful, but two people are having issues.The drop down to add their account is not available (greyed out so they can’t click it and add their account). I am going around and around a lot on this problem and still trying to fin. d the right way to go.I have a table of invoices. The invoices are numbered sequentially. Right now I have to enter each invoice number by hand after checking a summary table I made that lists the latest invoice number used +1 from a formula.I would like to have the “latest number used +1” inserted into the invoice number field of the new invoice being created. I imagine that it I not as hard was I am making it. I will tell you that I am TERRIBLE at automations. I find them unintuitive and frustrating. It’s probably me.But I am guessing that an automation is what I need..So invoice table is “Invoices: House” and summary table is “Invoice: Next invoice Number”. The summary invoice numbers in the “Invoice: Next invoice Number” table are in a rollup field and the Invoice Numbers in the “Invoices: House” field is a numbers field if that matters.Any help is appreciated.Be

I’m trying to automate period assignment in Airtable and want to check whether I’m missing something or if this just isn’t possible without scripting.I have a Periods table where each record has a Start Date and End Date for a 13-period fiscal year. In other tables like Orders, Packaging, and Transfers, each record has a single Date. What I want is for a record to automatically link to the correct Period when it’s created or when its Date is updated, based on whether that Date falls between the Period’s Start Date and End Date.I haven’t been able to find a native way to do this. Automations don’t seem to allow comparing one date field to another date field, Find records can’t evaluate date ranges using the triggering record’s Date, and rollups and filters don’t allow referencing parent record fields. Because of that, the only options I can see are manually selecting the Period or using a script.Has anyone in the community has found a native way to automate date

I’m wanting to automate posting of Slack messages using the Block framework, to simply have a nice  URL button, but when I submit even example code pulled from Slack’s API docs, the code simply posts as text, the blocking doesn’t seem to apply.What am I missing? We have 800+ bases, each with several automations, and each automation can be sent to any number of recipients based on the project type.  They are primarily external to our org and non-AT users.  I’m trying to find a concise way to audit those email addresses to ensure they are still current and relevant. Can anyone give me any idea of a way to download/query/export this data without querying each base individually?Thanks
