Formula field not showing up in Automation email

I’m building an automation that reports a date, and I created a field that uses DATETIME formula so that the date shows up in a readable format, as suggested on other threads linked below (thanks ​@ScottWorld and ​@John_Reid !) The problem is that the DATETIME formula output is not showing up in the email automation. Screenshots below--
