Photo not uploading from mobile devices - need help!

Hello, We are having problem with Attachment Field.We use mobile devices to upload photos on airtable, but the photos are not getting uploaded...Anybody having same issue?From my observation, the Airtable mobile apps is not working.I tired with multilple devices, Galaxy S devices, Iphone, Ipad...Logged out and re-logged in, but its not working at all.

What are you SDLC best practices once the system goes to Production?

Hi all, I’m at a stage where it’s no longer legit to make changes directly on the prod env.What are your best practices for managing changes in the base’s structure and design? (changing field type, editing formulas, editing scripts, adding tables etc.) For example, is there a way to connect to git and keep track of changes to table schemas (not data sync)?How do you make changes in a DEV base, and then push them to production? Do you use dedicated branches in git for these changes?

Convert address (list) to geocode (latitude and longitude) through map block and google API

I have a list of addresses and I already represented them through Map block using google Map API on the map. The queseion is how to get the coresponding geocode (latitude and longitude) for each address. eventhough I noteced that Map Block created text code for each address called Geocode cache is that may help or converted to coordinates. “Geocode cache This block stores additional information for each address. Create a new text field in your table and pick it below. Other map blocks can use the same field.” Thank you so much for your help in advance.

Change background color in a form

I created a form in Airtable and it gave me this html code: I embedded the code in my web site page here and it does work: https://captaintime.com/joint-venture-webinars/ However, it gives it a black background instead of the usual green on my site. I tried changing the background transparent to the hex color number and this didn’t work. Nor did changing backgroundColor=yellow to green. Not that yellow was showing anywhere anyway. Thanks,

Multiple Forms, one table?

I’ve seen something like this asked, but not really seeing responses?  But it got me thinking….  Is it really possible to have two different forms feed into a single base?  My thought process is this.  Creating an onboarding base so we can make sure we get everything completed for every hire.  But questions we ask on applications can vary based on the job(s) they are applying for, so having several forms with the specific questions would be great instead of having questions that only certain people would fill out or verbiage that is correct for some, but not for others.Is it REALLY possible to do this?  Yesterday I was trying to determine if there was a way to set up a form with sections so that each section of questions was for specific jobs, but the form will be LONG.  Having different forms based on the job they are applying for would be much better, if it will truly work.

Feature Request: Comment Links go Directly to App

This is something that has been bothering me on both desktop and mobile…  When I have the app downloaded to a device, and I click on an email that is from a comment, there should be a function where the action takes me directly to the comment in the app. Not to a login page in my browser, not a new tab in the browser.  This would be a lot better than the current behavior because: 1) I downloaded the app. I’m here, I’m using the app, I’m the power user and I should be taken care of; 2) When opening a series of comments in my email, I now have to wait for each of the tabs to open. My base isn’t small, so it takes a while each time, and it’s a little frustrating.

How to wrap text in linked fields?

Hello, I’m trying to wrap the text in linked fields but I can’t figure out how to do so. In the example below, the Name and the Doc Gap Descriptions fields are linked. In the original field, where the field type is Long Text, the text wraps and is fully visible. In the linked field, the text is cut off rather than wrapped. How do I display wrapped text here? I tried seeing if wrapping would happen in a printout using the print option of “Wrap long text onto additional lines as needed,” but that doesn’t wrap the linked text either. Thanks, Erik

Customize Form layout

Is there a way to customize a form so it’s more than just one long vertical column of fields. Would like to have fields be able to display horizontally too.That way you can see some or all the fields at once. Any ideas for layout change?

Do iframes work on mobile?

Hi, I’m trying to share a table using an iframe, I do not have problems when I see it from desktop, but from mobile it does not look good. When I enter the iframe URL in mobile it works fine, but when I enter my URL that has an iframe inside, it looks different. Does anyone know what could be happening? Changing plan levels

Dear Community,I work for a small charity based in London and we have used Airtable since 2019 so we have a lot of data stored. I am looking to upgrade back to Team plan from Free but am concerned that upgrading may reset workspace and lose dataFor context: Small charity working with boys and men in London Changed banks → automated Airtable payment failed Downgraded from Team to Free plan Over usage limits, 24 days to upgrade Support team contacted, communication unclear Ideal: update bank details, make payment, continue as is The administrator is on extended leave and I need to change the contact name for access purposesAny guidance is greatly appreciated.

How to show 100 line of text in "Long text" in any view ( Kanban, gallery etc..) without clicking over it

Hello Everyone, I want to display the whole content of the “Long text” field (about 100 lines) in the Gallery/kanban view. Now it shows just the top 4-5 lines and then the next field content. To read the whole content, one has to click on it to expand. Is there a way by which the whole content can be displayed in the Gallery/Kanban view without clicking over it? Thanks a lot!

Rogue blank options appearing in my single select fields in a form?

Hi Community, I have created a form, with a number of single select fields. When you got to enter, a blank field appear above the single select options - you can click on this, but it is not showing in the field in the back end. There are two options there, but the user end you can select a third non-existent option?The single selects are required fields, and the form has existed for a while without these glitches. Any tips welcome - though FYI, scripting (which the Airtbale bot told me to do) is a bit beyond my capabilitiesThanks

TV/Film Call Sheet Page Design

Hello, I’ve created a database that essentially allows me to create a call sheet (sample here) using the page design app. I currently have two tables: Call sheet table - lists the date as the main column. For each date, I have information such as the location, linked crew member, status etc. Crew table - this table lists each person’s name in the main column. There’s a linked record to the dates they’re working in the call sheet table, their email, cell, and role. I’d also like to add a column for the call time, but that will vary based on the date. On Tuesday their call time might be 9:00am but on Wednesday it’s 8:30am. Since each crew member in linked to several call sheet dates, one person may be linked to 2-4 different days of work on set. The time that people need to report to set each day varies. I’m trying to figure out a way, in the crew tab, to assign a call time for each person for each shoot day that they are assigned. Would you be able to assist? I then take all this

Form Group Permission

Hey everyoneThere use to be a feature for Groups in forms that seems to be missing now for new fields.When creating a form, you can create a group and add fields to that group.When you selected the Group, there was a permissions option for that Group where you can choose the fields to be editable or view-only.It appears that option is no longer available.This was incredibly useful for me. I was able to prefill fields in that group and it would prevent the end user from removing my prefilled option. This was really great when I didn't want to expose information in those fields to end user. I could prefill it and they could not edit it. But it was at least displayed there for them so they know what they were filling things out for. If this feature is gone, is there another way to prevent end users from changing prefilled fields in formsTIA!

Collecting e-signatures in forms

I’m looking for a simple and low-cost solution for collecting e-signatures in forms. I need to create permission forms for education programs and collect e-signatures, then import the data directly to Airtable. I don’t need to do this often enough for a montly/annual contract to make financial sense. esignatures.com is the best-priced platform that I’ve found, but it’s not clear if their data can be integrated with Airtable. I’d appreciate hearing from anyone who has done this or found other low-cost but good solutions that don’t require third-party software.

How do we automatically attach a PDF to a record that was created with Page Designer?

Hello,We are a large sales organization using the Airtable Page Designer to create PDFs in order visualize data from our commission tables. We have created the PDFs in the Airtable Page Designer, but do not know how to attach them back to the individual record within the table.For example: we have commission data generated from the table for the entire sales organization. We would like the PDF that was created for Bob Smith, to automatically pull back into Bob Smith’s record. We plan on emailing all of these PDFs to each individual rep through an automation.TLDR: How do we attach the PDF to the individual rep (record) from which the information was pulled.

Pre filling forms with Kuovonne’s excellent app!

Hi Must say that the pre fill form app that @kuovonne wrote is extremely useful. Thanks for taking the time to write it!! Airtable Prefilled Forms - Apps - Airtable Marketplace Prefill forms with field values on Airtable with the Prefilled Forms app. Quick question though. Some of my text fields are VERY long with formatting etc. is that still going to work when being sent via a query string? Seems to so far but I would hate it to break.

How to manage translations of linked records without losing the connection to the original table?

Hi guys, I’m building a interface (with Softr) heavily based on a Tag system done with linked records. I have translated the interface but I don’t know how to translate the tags without creating a different linked table and loosing the link with the original table. I’ve created agent fields to translate the tags. Any ideas how to display and allow the selection of the translated field and not the primary field of the table? Or any other solutions that can link the translated tags to the original dataset?Thanks,

Looking for response from Accounts Receivable Team

Hello Airtable Community, We have had a ticket open with the Airtable AR Team on some billing questions since the 7th of this month. No response have been received. I have emailed the regular support now as well but I’m not sure when I’m going to hear back from them.  Is there any way to contact them that’s not email? I have not had any luck with finding a proper live chat or phone number.  Thank you!

How are you sharing Airtable data internally without racking up collaborator costs?

We were looking for ways to expand Airtable access to internal teams without adding everyone as a paid collaborator.Shared views were too limited, and Interfaces still required collaborator access for anything interactive.So we built a front-end portal where team members can log in, view just their data, and update records if needed. No Airtable seat required.It’s now evolved into a tool called ClientlyBase — useful for internal dashboards, forms, and lightweight access across teams.Curious if anyone else here has dealt with this — how are you managing access for non-collaborators?
