Hi, I’m trying to set up data backups/redundancies in case of emergencies. I already regularly download CSVs of my base, but want to find a good way to back up my base structure. Is there a way to duplicate a base to an external workspace? Would like to have formulas/fields backed up somewhere in case we lose access to our account.
Over the last 5 or more years, I’ve entered many thousands of records in our airtable, which I use to manage our small business services. Hundreds of entries a week, and I’ve always used a spreadsheet style page to do this. Then I can hit shift+enter, create new record, start typing to find customer, hit enter then tab to next field and do the same for product/service. This is using a field type that links to other tables for customers and products/services. Today, I go to do this and something changed that makes this same method seemingly impossible. It’s like each of the fields is now a separate entity that when you enter it, any tabbing or arrow keys just change position on things within the same cell. Now to do the exact same thing I’ve been doing for years, I have to ‘Shift+Enter’ to create a new record, then hit esc to deactivate the cell, then use arrow keys to get back to the start, then navigate to the first cell and hit enter to activate it, press tab until the search + i
I’m having an issue getting a hold of sales/support. I’m on a team account right now but was planning to possibly upgrade to incorporate Airtable fully into my business but I can’t seem to get a hold of anyone real. I’ve emailed the sales department twice and I get confirmation emails from what I thought was a real person but I’m assuming it’s AI because they never respond once I email back my availability for a call. I’ve also tried the support chat function but it seems like that button does nothing for me.
Hi everyone!I run a small agency and we are trying to set up an Airtable base to track all of our company's legal compliance documents, FBR tax filings, and incorporation certificates across different regions (specifically South Asia / Pakistan).Right now, we are using a free portal we built for our local market secp portal to actually calculate our local taxes and generate the required SECP (company registration) documents. But I want to organize all that data and the generated PDFs into an Airtable base to keep a timeline of all our renewals and tax deadlines.Does anyone have a good template or base structure for tracking recurring legal/tax deadlines? How do you guys manage uploading and organizing official incorporation documents in Airtable? Thanks in advance for any tips!
I logged into Airtable today to find a large number of fields in one base broken. When I traced back the issue throughout multiple fields, I found 7 with an Airtable alert saying “Additionally, some conditions are no longer valid. Clear invalid conditions." When I clicked on Clear invalid conditions, the grayed out dates on the filters became black but nothing changed (see attached image). It DID fix the broken field issues, but I’m just wondering how that happened. Was it an Airtable update issue? Thanks!
Washington County was established in 1777 and the county seat, Jonesborough, was established in 1779; the oldest county and town in Tennessee. We have over a 1,000 family folders and over 400 local history folders along with books, microfilm, maps, etc. in the library genealogy collection. We are building a searchable database on these family folders and local history folders. In this data base, we also set up through ‘extensions’ a search engine. We want to share this database with family researchers. But we would like to share with them a “read only” database that is searchable. This is our problem. How can we set up a “read only” database that researchers could use? We do not want to put this database on the internet. Is there a way that we can set up a searchable database that is only ‘read only?’
I have been attempting to get information on an enterprise account, and all I am getting is automated responses with nothing related to the question I have. Is there a trick to get a sales rep to reach out?
when I quit airtable app for mac the window goes blank (white) and hangs; I have to do a force quit to quit the app. this happens every time. this behavior began since I updated the app.Airtable app ver 1.7.0OS ver 26.6.1 Other functionality in the app is fine. It just won’t shut down when I quit. Any suggestions?
Hi everyone, I run a content site called Crab Guide, it has grown to 90+ published pages but not all of them are indexed by Google yet, and I have been tracking this manually in a spreadsheet which is getting messy (columns for publish date, index status, clicks, and which pages still need internal links).I want to move this to Airtable and set it up properly, maybe with a view just for "needs attention" pages. Would a single table with status fields work fine, or does something like this usually need linked tables (like a separate table for keywords or backlink tracking)? Curious how people managing larger content sites structure this kind of tracker. Thanks!
I'm building an Airtable base for my Nintendo gaming website, which focuses on Tomodachi Life and Nintendo 3DS content.I'd like to organize:Game guides Characters & personalities Articles News SEO keywords Publishing status Content ideasI'm wondering what the best database structure would be. Should I keep everything in one table with linked records, or create separate tables for games, articles, keywords, and categories? If you've used Airtable to manage a gaming website or content project, I'd love to see how you've structured your base. Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
Hi there, I found multiple posts in the community and other blogs that say I can capture submitter IP address in Fillout. It is crucial to my workflow, but I now can’t find this feature? Any help or workaround would be greatly appreciated as it is mission critical!
Hello,I’m running into an issue with sending emails from Airtable and wanted to see if anyone has experienced something similar. We are manually sending records (not via automation), and one of our users is getting the following error:“This row could not be sent because you have exceeded the number of times you can send emails. Please try again later.”What’s confusing is: Other users in the same base are still able to send emails without any issues Only this one user is blocked We are all using the same setup and process We initially thought it was a general rate limit, but since others can still send, it seems like it might be a user-specific limit or throttle.Has anyone seen this before? Is there a per-user sending limit in addition to the base/workspace limit? How long does this cooldown typically last? Any way to prevent this from happening when multiple users are sending records? Any insights or workarounds would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!
Has anyone found a reliable way to handle CSV imports in Airtable when the source files are inconsistent? We currently have a custom CSV import flow where users upload files containing customer and account data. Before importing into Airtable, we need to validate required fields, data types, and business rules, then map the uploaded columns to our internal schema. The biggest challenge is dealing with files that don’t follow the expected format. Different customers use different column names, some required fields are missing, date formats vary, and duplicate records need to be identified before the import proceeds. We also need to provide users with clear error messages so they can fix issues without contacting support.Right now, most of this logic is custom-built and becoming difficult to maintain. Every time we add a new import type or validation rule, it requires engineering effort, and edge cases frequently introduce bugs. What’s the best approach for validating, mapping, and processi
Hi, Im looking for tutorials specific for building a database that maps entities - organizations and initiatives, and the connections between them. Tutorials for commercial use are less helpful. thanks
Long time user. For the past few months, my Airtable Mac app has been broken, not allowing me to view bases within the app. I can only view account settings. When I click on a workspace name, it opens in the browser. I’m on macOS v13.6.7, and Airtable v1.6.6 Universal. Any suggestions how to resolve?
Today, I briefly noticed what seemed to be a new search experience in Airtable, and it was a huge improvement. When I searched for a text value, Airtable not only highlighted the matching text within records, but it also automatically filtered the view to display only the records that contained the search term. This made searching dramatically faster and more intuitive. Instead of scrolling through hundreds or thousands of records with highlighted matches, I could immediately focus on only the relevant records.Unfortunately, the feature disappeared again after a short time.If this was an experiment or a feature rollout, I would strongly encourage the Airtable team to bring it back. It significantly improves usability, especially for larger bases where finding information quickly is essential. Why this behavior is better:It reduces visual clutter by showing only matching records. It saves time by eliminating unnecessary scrolling. It makes search behave more like users expect from modern a
I built a questionnaire that includes conditional logic, where additional questions are revealed based on previous responses. I'd like to save the form as an Excel file for backup and documentation purposes, but from what I've researched so far, it appears I may have to recreate it manually. Is there a way to export the form structure—including all questions, conditional logic, and the available options for dropdown, single-select, and multi-select fields—into Excel?I understand that I can export the form responses or underlying data to Excel/CSV, but that export only contains submitted values and does not include the field configuration, selectable options, or conditional question logic. My goal is to create a complete backup of the form itself, not just the submitted data.Has anyone found an efficient way to do this, or is manual recreation currently the only option?
This morning, I went into my company’s AirTable account to pay for an upgrade to a Team’s Plan. Within five seconds of making the purchase, I realized it had charged my personal debit credit card and not the company card.I searched for 30 minutes on how to contact customer support. The AI bot was a nightmare. There is literally not a single phone number. There is no way to contact anyone with any urgency. So the charge went through, and now I’m broke. Now I have no way to buy groceries. I won’t see the money for 5-10 business days. But, my rent is due before then. All of this happened because I made a mistake and there is no way to contact billing at all. I am in a financial nightmare in large part because of AirTable’s horrific customer service. When I finally heard back, I got one email where they said I had to pay for a better plan to get a phone call… um sorry we are a non-profit? So, we don’t deserve immediate billing help? I asked to speak to a manager after sobbing for two hours.
Hi everyone,I’m reaching out to see if anyone else has experienced a sudden and unexplained drain on their Airtable AI credits recently.I just realized that 100% of my AI budget has been completely consumed. What’s truly baffling is that there have been no specific high-volume actions, massive bulk runs, or manifest user errors on our end. No new complex workflows were deployed, and we’ve verified that no automation loops were triggered. The biggest issue right now is the complete lack of visibility. As far as I know, there isn't a granular usage log or credit breakdown showing which base, table, field, or automation actually ate up the budget. We are left entirely in the dark as to what caused this spike.A few questions for the group: Has anyone else witnessed a sudden, unexpected depletion of their AI credits without a clear cause? Are there any "hidden culprits" we should look out for? (e.g., background syncs, lookup fields inadvertently forcing mass AI recalculations, etc.) Is t
Hi there, I’ve set-up a Airtable to Google Calendar sync. The event (record from Airtable) on Google shows the start date/time and end date/time. However I’d like to add the address to the Google event from my Airtable data. Is there an option to bring this data from Airtable to the Google Calendar event please? Any support would be great! Thanks 😀
Hi All- Anyone know if there is a way to save questions in this chat? Ive found a couple that I know will be helpful to something I have planned to work on in the future and would love to reference them later. thanks!
• Linked Record on-screen appearance has changed for the worse very recently specifically in Airtable’s app on i(Pad)OS (v26.5.2) with in my case a 6th-Gen iPad mini (2021) and iPhone SE (2020). Normally we get 3 content lines on screen for each linked record ::: #1: primary key ; #2: a few additional field names ; #3: their content ; Now on my iPad/iPhone since a few days that third line is empty all over the place, in whichever base I check. I have Airtable support case 01231446 about this, with current status "Attention Required". • Subject :: Linked record details missing content line in Airtable iPad app (v11.3 on iPadOS 26.5.2)• Priority :: 2: Degraded Service ; • Created :: 2026-07-09.Th.17:44 UTC ; Hopefully swift action will be taken to fix this darn problem.
• the Real issue, kind of reposted better or properly titled here ;• Instead of as "Other Question", I'd rather post this into an "i(Pad)OS / iPhone & iPad" section but I couldn't find any such, is there ?• in view of other concerns, likewise thus far I couldn't find an "Android" section to post into – is there ? ( it should be, shouldn't it ? )• Anyhow, since/because I couldn't adjust the original titling of my 2026.07.13.Md. posting ( or can I ? and/or shouldn't I be able to ? ) :::With some extra info here :::• For this whole “Linked Record field content appearance” case, no "interface" is involved.• I specifically experience this problem in Record Details, rather than immediately at grid level.• Even fully rebooting my iPad doesn't resolve the issue.:::See :::https://community.airtable.com/other-questions-13/linked-record-field-appearance-in-airtable-app-v11-3-on-i-pad-os-48409
Well, after going back and forth with Omni for quite a while, I think I've finally reached the point where I need to ask about this specific scenario.I have a table where each record generates a unique 6-character code, something like X8MMA3.Now I'd like to create a public Form where the first field is simply a text input for the user to enter the code they've received separately (for example, by email). This code corresponds to a value in that table. The user doesn't see any other codes—it's not a dropdown or a linked record selector. It's just a plain text field where they type the code they were given. If the code exists, the user should be able to continue filling out the form and submit it. Submitting the form would create a new record in another table containing the user's inputs along with the code they entered. The key requirement is this: if the user enters a code that doesn't exist in the table, the form should immediately display a message informing them that the code is inval
Hi, i’ve tried to remove access on business leavers in the admin panel but users reappear within seconds - even if they are just viewers and have no ownership of workspaces & bases. These are also users whose google account are deactivated. Has anyone else been able to get around this? thanks,Gemma
