Hiya,

Looking to create an auto email to send out to a listserv when a record is created. I can easily use a trigger + send email automation to send it out, but I really want to send out the information as a table, rather than the list I can build out in the email automation.

How can I use the find record automation to only flag new submissions to send out? I created a date created column that includes the time, but I can’t limit the conditions by the exact minute, only to a day.

Thanks!

Match the triggering record by its unique ID rather than its creation time. That keeps record selection separate from the table formatting.

1. Add a formula field named Record ID with the formula RECORD_ID().
2. Keep your record-created trigger. In Find records, select the same table and set the condition to Record ID is [the triggering record’s Airtable record ID]. Click the condition’s cog to switch to Dynamic, then insert the ID from the trigger. Don’t paste a sample ID manually.
3. In the email body, click +, select Find records → Records → Records, then choose “insert as grid” and select the fields to include.

Test that Find records returns exactly the triggering record, then preview the email. You’ll get a one-row table without a date filter.

Thanks! That’s exactly what I needed to do. Ran the tests and everything is working flawlessly.
