How to Send Contact Form 7 Submissions to Airtable CRM

I'm looking for a simple way to send Contact Form 7 submissions from my WordPress website directly to Airtable, so new leads and customer inquiries can be stored as records without manually copying the information.

The basic setup involves creating an Airtable base with fields such as Name, Email, Phone, and Message, generating a Personal Access Token with the necessary permissions, and configuring the API endpoint for the target base and table.

The next step is mapping Contact Form 7 fields to the corresponding Airtable fields in the JSON payload. After setting up the request headers and authentication, a test submission can help confirm that all the values are being saved correctly.

While exploring ways to set this up, I came across Contact Form to API which can connect Contact Form 7 with external APIs. It allows you to configure the API request and map form fields into the payload, while API logs help troubleshoot failed requests or missing values.

A few things worth checking during setup are the token permissions, the correct base and table IDs, and whether the submitted values match Airtable's field types.

Has anyone connected Contact Form 7 to Airtable? What approach worked best for you, and did you run into any field-mapping or authentication issues?

Most people in the community are either using:

  1. Airtable’s native forms, or
  2. Fillout’s advanced forms for Airtable.  Fillout is 100% free and it communicates directly with Airtable (no plug-ins nor 3rd-party apps required). See more details below.
  3. Otherwise, if they’re using Wordpress forms, they’re probably using Make’s Wordpress integrations alongside Make’s Airtable integrations.

Regarding #2 above, Fillout offers hundreds of features that neither Airtable’s native forms nor Wordpress’s forms offer, including the ability to:

I show how to use a few of the advanced features of Fillout on these 2 Airtable podcast episodes:

Hope this helps!
