Email Engagement

I have an automation that sends students an email thanking them for being a part of a short-term trip with the school and I was wondering if Airtable or an extension that I do not know of, could track the engagement of the student on if they opened the email, or if they clicked on a link, etc.

I want to make sure that the email is the most optimized to get the most survey responses possible!

May want to look into using an email tracking pixel for this!

For open rate, I fully agree with @TheTimeSavingCo.

However, if you link your links to specific webhooks and such webhooks have a webhook response to redirect them to the actual webpage then you would be able to track clicks and no clicks. To build this on your side you’ll need to use a third party automation tool such as Zapier, Make or n8n (I would personally suggest using n8n). You can find a comparison between these automation/integration tools here.

I’ve done this for multiple personal projects! Would love to show you around.

Hi @jdjohnsoneurie,

If you’d like a really quick/easy/cheap way of doing this, you can just use a service like Paste Pixel to embed a tracking pixel into your email.

Otherwise, you could turn to more advanced email marketing tools (such as MailGun, MailChimp, MessageBird, Brevo, PostMark, BigMailer, MailerLite, etc.) and integrate them with Airtable by using Make’s advanced automations & integrations.

If you’ve never used Make before, I’ve assembled a bunch of Make training resources in this thread. For example, here is one of the ways that you could instantly trigger a Make

I also give live demonstrations of how to use Make in many of my Airtable podcast appearances. For example, in this video, I show how to work with Airtable arrays in Make.automation from Airtable

Hope this helps! If you’d like to hire the best Airtable consultant to help you with anything Airtable-related, please feel free to contact me through my website: Airtable consultant — ScottWorld

You can use BaseMailer airtable automation extension, it has all kind of tracking like open, click and more.
