Hello

I would like to know if there is a possibility to add lookup field data from two different tables to a third table and have them appear in the same column?

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

not to my knowledge, but you can add a formula field to concatenate these 2 fields:

Last field in this table is a formula:

Hello

Thanks for the reply. Your solution does not actually fit my needs. In my case I have tasks from different tables that I would like to conclude into one so called ''master table''. Any ideas how that would work in Airtable?

Regards!

Sorry,

I must be missing something. having the 2 lookup fields coming from the same table or from 2 different tables does not change the way you can concatenate them into the same field.

That's where I must be misundersanding something.

Pascal

My goal would be to have the different tasks in the same column, but not in the same field. I would like the two tasks to appear in different rows. Any ideas how to accomplish that?

Hello,

I guess that you would need to setup an automation to create 2 records in your "master table" with information coming from the 2 tables.

Question 1 is what event triggers the automation.

Question 2 is what information do you rely on to find the records in table 1 and 2 that have to be inserted in the "master table".

Pascal

Hello

Thanks for the insight.

For me the trigger can be time related.

Does this automation look correct? It doesn't give me any errors if I test it, but the result doesn't look right either... I don't know if it's relevant, but the records from table 1 are linked to Miro. Does it change anything?

This is how it looks like in Mastertable

Hello,

To understand how it works, I need to see how the 2 find records and the create record action are set up.

Pascal

Hello

I am not completely sure, but are these the steps that you are looking for?

Thanks in advance!
