Hi

I am a novice using Airtable, but I am learning….slowly.  I have the free plan, and I’m trying to figure out how to add recurring events to my calendar easily. For instance, I would like to add a recurring event every Friday between two specific dates. Any help would be appreciated.

It depends on how you want to trigger the recurring dates, but I would setup an automation to create a record in that table on Friday to create the next Fridays event.  Use every Friday trigger, create the record and set the date dynamic entry to “Next trigger time”.

I’m not sure that would work for my purpose. Example: When others view the calendar for the year, I would like them to see that every Friday this summer, between 1:00 to 4:00 PM, the facility is booked for a repeating event. Then they know the room is not available. Hopefully, I’m explaining this clearly.

I would just manually create a record per Friday for those months with a Status field of Booked (configure this as color red) or Open (configure this as green, then on the calendar color the records by that status field.  Without scripting there is not a good approach for automating recurring items that have very specific requirements.
