Teammembers with interface access are not able to run Airtable automations through a button all of a sudden.

Hello Community,since this morning our teammembers, who only have access to our interfaces, are not able to run Airtable automations through buttons anymore. The buttons are greyed out and they get a warning saying "Not connected to an automation".However, when logged in through our administrator account (with full data access) the buttons and Airtable automations work as intended.We did not make any changes to the interface, database structure or fields, automations, or the users permissions and capabilities. No changes to anything recently. Overnight things just stopped working.Yesterday everything was working fine, today no automation can be triggered through a button unless it is the administrator account with full access to the data. What happened? What could that be?We need URGENT help here. 🙄

recordId does not exist for my automation script to work

Hi there, I’m trying to create an airtable automation script whereby it takes in the Full name of a record and changes only the first letter into uppercase (upper caps). Linking Records together from a form

I have 2 forms that a customer fills out - 1 is info about the company, which populates on the company table. The second is for the employees table and it collects info about each employee that works at the company. I currently have the form set up to collect the company info first, then they click “continue” and it redirects to the employee form. They then have the ability to fill out the employee form as many times as needed. I tried using a pre-filled link for this button to auto fill in the company name on the employee table linking the two, but that does not work. Should I be using an automation? Is there any solution for this that does not include using a 3rd app?Any ideas for linking the records is greatly appreciated!! Thank you!

Need to automate sending an email identifying a unique record

I’m trying to identify where a record has an expiration date and send an email identifying that record.I can automate an email that recognizes the expired date but can’t find a way to attach/send the identity of that record. I have a log (record from a table) and the entries have a field “expiration date”.  My automation finds that record and sends an email that a record has expired.  I need a way for it to not only do that but identify what record that expired (separate field).  Is there a way to do that?

Copy and paste statuses across list view records

Hi!  I might just be silly, but is there not a way to copy and paste a status across several records in list view? In grid view it’s easy, just copy a cell and paste. Is there not an easy and quick way to do this in list view?

Lookup field in end-user interface?

Hi All – I have a large base which essentially functions as a CRM.  The first field in the base is “partner name” and the subsequent fields are information about the partner - location, bio, Linkedin profile, etc.  We use the base to track engagement and other touchpoints with the partners.  I want to build an end-user interface while allows my executive director to input the name of an individual from the base and then have it return a few specified fields.  For example, the ED has an end-user interface and is instructed to input a partner name.  After inputting the name, the interface returns Linkedin profile, bio, and last-emailed (all fields that we collect and keep up-to-date).  I know it’s possible to just make my ED an editor and give access to the entire base but we have 50+ fields and I want an more user-friendly experience.  Privacy is not the concern here, rather my ED doesn’t need to see all the fields and details in the base.  Is this kind of build possible with an interfa

Calendar updated via form

I am on the free plan. A few Co-workers can add an event to the calendar by submitting a shared form. The Airtable calendar is then updated. That works well. But say they need to delete an event. How can that be done using the same form, or do I need to make a new shared form?

Link to interface page with specific filter - understanding airtable's filter parameter values

I am trying to set up specific filters after a user clicks a button to visit an interface page. It seems that there is no native way to do this given the options airtable gives you,. It also seems like there is no way to add url parameters to an http address  but I thought it might be possible to just do this using url parameters and a http page.Maybe there is a way to do this with a script? I’d have to figure out what the parameter values for the filter are, and then also have some way to redirect to a new page which might not be possible in the airtable scripting environment.

Where is Airtable Sales?

I received some interesting info about the new portals feature and have filled out the stupid sales form (because I have an enterprise account) but no one seems to want to help me. Sad that I’m having to go these lengths given that I THINK the feature might actually be valuable enough for me to waste my time trying to track down a person.  Hoping some will route this to someone. Thanks.

Receving error 302 'Moved Temporarily' when using fetch method on apps script

I'm trying to use a web app deployed via Google Apps Script inside Airtable Extensions and Automations by selecting "Run a script." However, I'm encountering the following error:Response status was 302 'Moved Temporarily' but redirect mode was set to 'error'Despite this error, the action triggered by the request is actually executed successfully.I tested the same request using Thunderclient and did not encounter the error — everything worked as expected.Searching the community, I found a workaround suggesting the creation of a webhook to handle the requests. I implemented this through Zapier, and using the webhook, the requests now run successfully within Airtable (both in Extensions and Automations).However, this setup isn't ideal for me because it adds an unnecessary (and paid) middle step just to retrieve a simple success response from my Apps Script API.My questions: Is there a way to configure Airtable to prevent or handle this 302 error directly? Or, is there a better solution

Repeating group - error on one script doesn't generate error for automation

I have a script that is using a repeating group to batch process a couple of records sent through output.set() If one of the scripts fails it doesn’t seem to register that error in the overall automation. See image below, individual script failed, overall automation is giving me the green light. I noticed that the script wasn’t behaving correctly on some records but having the script not throw errors is potentially dangerous as problems stay hidden.

referral management

I am looking to create a form that will collect referrals from teachers that will store all the referrals in one place for those responding to these referrals to be able to act on them and then have the outcomes of those actions be shared out automatically preferably via email but I would also like the referral data to be easily sortable into specific students as reports that can be printed and have the ability to attach other files to these referrals.  I would l also like to be able to analyze all of the data for trends and patterns as well as look at individual student data for trends and patterns.  I have no idea where to begin and if airtable can even do something like this.

A better template for Dashboard creation

Hi all,I just sent this in as a product idea but I wanted to see if it’s a pain-point for anyone else?I love the layout flexibility of the Blank interface template for building a dashboard but it’s missing a bunch of newer functionality because it’s a legacy template.The newer Dashboard template has some of that newer functionality (hierarchy, click into number elements), but doesn’t allow me to have elements side by side unless they have the same source table (group)There’s also no way to make what is functionally a sidebar element (one that spans vertically over multiple elements).Neither have Sort/Group/Search User Actions for List/Grid elements (like in the Record Review template) which I get for Blank but not for Dashboard, because Filter is an option but not the others.Without these user actions, I’m forced to make my user click a button at the top of the group that goes to a list or grid page with the same source so they can do what they should be able to do in the dashboard ele

Weird auto-correction issue when validating text in Airtable (only on one computer) - Bug report

Hello everyone, Here is a weird behavior I would like to understand…On one of my computer (and only one), when I validate text in a cell of my text column (when I press enter or change cell after writting something), Airtable sometimes modify some words of the content arbitrarily… Here is a true exemple “remportent” automatically transforms into “représentent” in the next sentence, which often change the meaning of the sentence (and being a journal it’s compromising). Exemple : Les Auvergnats remportent le match contre le LOU.Automatically becomes : Les Auvergnats représentent le match contre le LOU.  Here is my text field :  I tried the same sentence on another computer and the phenomenom doesn’t happen… It happens that I share my session and credentials with team members and that we use the interface with the same credential at the same time but this happen whether or not I’m alone on the session. Very weird. Date counting formula weird results

Hi all, I am copying over historical data into a new Airtable system and I am using the following formula for calculating the number of days taken to complete a task IF(  OR({Date Completed}, {Date Completed Override}),  WORKDAY_DIFF(    IF({Start Date Actual Override}, {Start Date Actual Override}, {Start Date Actual}),    IF({Date Completed Override}, {Date Completed Override}, {Date Completed})  ),  BLANK())It works just as intended, it counts the number of workdays to complete a task, using the default field unless an override date is being used.However, there are one or two results that are just way off. Automations To Paste When Base Is Copied

Hey guys,Is there any plans to make it so that when someone copies a base from a public share link, that the automations also get copied across?I create a bunch of systems and templates for people to try and get them in to using Airtable but this is big limitation when it comes to offering these types of solutions as the automations are really a big part of any system.Is this going to be possible at any point or is there a good workaround at all?

How to use combined formulas for a label printing program -- Concatenate + if/then + probably something else?

Hello hive mind geniuses! Bear with me, I’m not sure how to explain all this, so I’ll start with my use case scenario and end with my current setup so far.I’m trying to create a file folder/mail merge printing system for genealogy & correspondence names. The problem I’m trying to resolve is having to copy and paste information over and over into label templates, whenever file folder or mailing labels need to be fixed, reprinted, or duplicated.Currently, I have to copy and paste from within each name or address cell in my spreadsheet. Even if I rearrange the spreadsheet to display vertical columns rather than long rows of cells, a full copy/paste of multiple cells shows mini tables inside the label borders, instead of formatted text columns. It’s exhausting. So the urge is to save the label sheet for when new labels need to be printed as replacements, edits, or extra file folders or envelopes. But then every time you need a few or many new labels printed, you have to hunt them down

Outlook Email Automation Limiting to 25 Emails per 24 Hours

I have an automation set up with an Outlook email action that runs into errors after sending 25 emails successfully. When I run it at least 24 hours later, it will send another 25 emails. However I keep having to push the rest of the records that need emails sent to the following day. What is the term for this specific limit I’m running into with Outlook’s integration? Is there a way around it or to disable it?

Is it possible to be notified in Google Chat, Slack or Teams when "@user" is used in comment/notes

Hello,Quite simple question : today when you mention a user with “@person” in a comment or a note, he/she gets notified by email. Is there a way to route these notifications in Google Chat, Slack or MS Teams ? I’d like to avoid kludge solution like creating a Zap or Make that watches over the mailbox and transform an email received into a chat message, this should flow directly from airtable to one of those 3 solutions, like a setting in the user specific parameters.

Interfaces / List View / Remove Grouping text

In Interface, I create a grouping of my data based on warehouses. That works.The warehouse names appear as their own defined sections, great! Why in the world do I have to see the field name above every single group in my page??1-It’s the same (useless) information over and over2-It’s ugly Is there a way to just remove the grouping title? We can remove grouping record sums! Why not the title?  In this example I would remove the POSO WAREHOUSE text.(My fallback is to edit this for something like an Emoji or whatever, but I’d rather have nothing appear). Thanks so much folks!

Naming an entry according to date

Hey guys, probably an easy thing to do but I want to name an entry according to the right “quarter candidate” field without having to create a super long “IF” formula (I want to update this table without having to update the formula everytime I add a new quarter candidate to the list)My goal : in an other base each new entry have the current date added to it, according to this date, I want to have a field with the right quarter candidate because the date is after the “input start date” and before the “Input end date” Thanks for your help !
