Monday / or date of choice to start week on calendar or picker

This would be an awesome feature — and all of my European clients are in need of this feature.

But unfortunately, Airtable has never added this to their product, and Airtable doesn’t reveal their future roadmap.

Airtable takes a very USA-centered approach to their product, so it’s questionable if we will ever see this added to the product.

Your best bet would be to submit it as a feature request on the product feedback form, but like you said, all of us have already been asking for this feature for almost a decade already. I’ve already submitted this feature request at least 4 times myself.

If this is a mission critical feature for you, your best bet would be to look into some of the 3rd-party portals that are available for Airtable, and have your users use the portal’s UI instead of Airtable’s UI to do their data entry. Some of these portals offer the ability to customize the dropdown calendar menus.

Here are some of the popular 3rd-party portals that are currently available for Airtable:
Noloco, JetAdmin, Softr, Pory, Glide, and MiniExtensions.

Workaround for Monday week starts:

While Airtable's native calendar uses browser locale for week start, you can create a Monday-based week system using formula fields:

Create a "Week Starting" formula field:

DATEADD(
  {Date Field},
  -MOD(WEEKDAY({Date Field}) + 5, 7),
  'days'
)

This calculates the Monday of any given date's week. Then you can:

Group Calendar views by this field:

• In Calendar view settings, group by your Week Starting field
• This gives you Monday-organized weekly sections
• Sort and filter become Monday-based

For week numbers (ISO 8601 standard - Monday start):

WEEKNUM({Date Field}, 'Monday')

Alternative: Use Interfaces

If you're building dashboards or team views, Interface Calendar elements let you control the layout more precisely:

• Create filtered views by week ranges
• Use buttons to navigate Monday-to-Sunday periods
• Combine with Timeline view for week-based project visualization

For reporting/grouping:

• Group records by your Monday-based week field in Grid view
• Use Timeline view (which can show weeks more flexibly)
• Create filtered views like "This Week" using the Monday calculation
