Monday / or date of choice to start week on calendar or picker

Is there any word on a feature to allow users to change the day of the week that you use for the first day of the week? I know a lot of US calendars will use Sunday for some reason, but I don’t actually know any businesses that run on a Sunday start. I’ve always used a Monday start to the week. And I’m pretty sure most of the rest of the world uses Monday to start the week.

I noticed people have been asking this for almost 8 years according to the help center. And it seems like the easiest change.

People were trying to suggest that we change our browser settings to some part of the world that does Monday start, and others were reporting that that doesn’t actually change the user experience. And making that change messes up every other application I use, so it doesn’t make sense. Just about all my productivity applications let you set this as a personal preference, and I’m kind of stunned this is still out there.

How can this be escalated, or is there a way to see if it’s on the roadmap?

This would be an awesome feature — and all of my European clients are in need of this feature.

But unfortunately, Airtable has never added this to their product, and Airtable doesn’t reveal their future roadmap.

Airtable takes a very USA-centered approach to their product, so it’s questionable if we will ever see this added to the product.

Your best bet would be to submit it as a feature request on the product feedback form, but like you said, all of us have already been asking for this feature for almost a decade already. I’ve already submitted this feature request at least 4 times myself.

If this is a mission critical feature for you, your best bet would be to look into some of the 3rd-party portals that are available for Airtable, and have your users use the portal’s UI instead of Airtable’s UI to do their data entry. Some of these portals offer the ability to customize the dropdown calendar menus.

Here are some of the popular 3rd-party portals that are currently available for Airtable:
Noloco, JetAdmin, Softr, Pory, Glide, and MiniExtensions.
