Hello! I am running into an issue where the field count is almost maxed out on two tables in my base and I need the ability to add more fields. In both of the tables, there are many fields that are used for reporting/stats. I considered moving all of those fields to another table but it’s not quite working out. I do closing coordination for real estate agents. The two tables in question are the Properties table and Contacts table. The Properties table has records for each contract. The Contacts table has records for each of my agents. Each property record is linked to the agent for that contract in the Contacts table. Reporting in the Properties table is done based on the agent for things like properties under contract, properties closed X amount of days ago, etc. Reporting in the Contacts table is done based on the agent using rollup/formula fields that reference the Properties table for things like average sales price over X periods, commission totals over X periods, etc. In the new

Hi there, when I sync’d my Airtable to my Google Drive, it automatically sync’d with My Drive. Is there a way to sync it in a Shared Drive or to a specific folder within the Shared Drive? Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Is there any way to set up an inventory tracking system where someone can scan a QR code, and fill out a form of what they are checking out as well as checking back in? The issue I’m running into is that its fairly easy to create a form with a drop down of what you’re checking out, but when it comes to quantity of what's being checked out, that's where it gets tricky, unless you create a sperate quantity field for each individual piece of equipment, which if you can imagine, you have hundreds of different pieces of equipment, that is extremely inefficient not to mention the form it self would have hundreds of conditional fields. What I had imagined is for example, I scan a QR code, a form comes up, I check out 5 harnesses, 3 lanyards, and 10 beam clamps and click submit. On the user interface, I can look at who checked it out, what equipment they have what department they are etc. When checking back in, they similarly scan a QR code and fill in what they returned. I need to create an email automation (preferred) or design a page that displays information similar to an invoice. Example data: Person Janice Joe Jill Jerry Jess Pay $100 $120 $60 Joe and Jess have blank values for Pay because they weren’t involved in this project. I’m able to use an automation to blast out an email to all people involved (Jance, Jill, and Jerry) because a separate field lists them, but I don’t need to actually display the empty records for Joe and Jess within the email content itself. And in real life, I’ve got over a dozen people and only 2-5 that I need to list in an email at any time. Essentially, I need to find a way to setup the email within the automation to only display specific fields if they have values. Alternatively, if there is a way to do this within Page Designer, I could just generate a PDF and manually send it to Janice, Jill, and Jerry. Ideas?

Hello appreciate the community’s help here. I am uploading a CSV file on a weekly basis (the data is from application form submissions on google form). So every week I am getting new applications in. I uploaded last week matched the fields and all was good. I even started reviewing and syncing some applications on the airtable base. I had 10 applications last week. This week I got 17 more. So I downloaded CSV file (business as usual). I went to airtable and uploaded and suddenly i realize it created 27 new records. I proceed and on the base I find 10 old records + 17 new records (out of which 10 are duplicates from the old upload). How can I prevent this from happening, appreciate your support.

Hi there - I am building some interfaces for my team that collects data in one table that is linked back to another table and I’d like the team to be able to update both in 1 page. Here’s a hypothetical scenario: I have a table of Owners who are all in my dog training class. The Owner table lists all of the things about the owner. I also have a table that has a list of every Dog in my class with information about them. Many Owners have multiple Dogs and I want to associate the Dogs to the Owner. My real-world example is a lot more complicated with hundreds of records. I want to keep my team from bouncing around multiple tables and manually linking records so am hoping to be able to design an interface page that allows them to add new data to another, linked table. I have a script running right now that essentially asks “enter # of dogs” then “create that many blank records in the Dog table” and then “Link those blank records to the Owner Table.” I feel like there’s an easier way… A but

My Ask: What methods can be done to direct or redirect automation error notifications to other base users. For many of the builds, I create the automations thus all error notifications come to me when an automation fails. From what I read, if I want another user to receive them, they have to be the one that creates the automation and turns it on. I would need them to ‘duplicate’ the automation and delete the original. Most of these errors come with the interactive actions involving ‘humans’. A prime example is when a form submitter does not enter their email in correctly thus a confirmation email does not execute. These are operational details that the person I built it for can handle and address. I hate to be the go between for these errors or do something fancy with my inbox to forward them to other users. Thoughts in other methods or do the duplicate way? We are looking to get Zapier that might be a method toward a solution.

Hello, I have a table with only 2 columns (Name and Creation Date) now I need to send a form from that table but that contains 5 Name fields so that the client can register 5 people at a time and each of them will be a different record.

I have a send email automation set up to email purchase orders to people in the company. I have a department correspondant cc'd on the email based on the department of the purchase order. When I received the email both my name was in the "to" email and the "cc" part of the email. Only the person in the company should be on the "to" part of the email the department correspondent should only be on the "cc" part of the email The department correspondent was on the cc and to part of the email but the airtable settings only have the department correspondent on the "cc" of the email automation

I've set up a very basic automation: Trigger=when a form is submitted; Action=Google Sheets: Append a new row to a spreadsheet. The automation is working correctly, EXCEPT for the fact that the new row is appended at the TOP of the spreadsheet (i.e., row 1, above the header row) instead of at the bottom of the spreadsheet (i.e., under existing rows of data). Is there a way to specify that new rows should be appended at the bottom, below existing rows? Thanks! Heidi

Hello, I am working with inventory management database. I have two different tables where both have unique UPCs and a status selection. I am creating a third table that will only display products from both tables that are ready for sale i.e status is “Listed”. I have created an automation that checks when status is changed to “listed” then find if that UPC doesn’t exist in product table then create a new field with that UPC. I run into duplicate entry problem. *** when I change a product to listed it will pop up in products list which is what I want but when I change the status to something else and then change it back to “listed” it will create a duplicate field which is not what I expect.*** No matter who much I played around with different conditions and values in find section of automation I still couldn’t figure it out.

I have a column of numbers. I would like to be able to press a button on an interface and set all values in that column for all rows to zero using a button automation trigger. Could someone please give a step by step guide? I can create an interface button linked to a record picker that updates the values one at a time… but that is quite tedious. Please advise, thank you!

I am trying to simply select a record and duplicate it from a filtered view, but for some reason, AT seems to be stuck or frozen. It is a bit frustrating. Anyone else experience the same issue?

I am trying to sync the Ask/Bid prices of several cryptocurrency prices, along with their trading volumes, from different exchanges in real-time (Or at a maximum of every 2 minutes) into my Airtable via API or any possible alternate method. I have attached a screenshot of how I would like my table to look like. There will be a list of ~2000 cryptocurrencies that I need to be constantly updated. If the specific cryptocurrency is not traded on a specific exchange, it should leave the field empty. I was able to get the job done via DataFetcher, but unfortunately, it is not a cost-efficient approach. I am open to getting this done via Javascript scripting if possible. I am looking for something cost-efficient in the long run that will not require hundreds of dollars every month. If you can get this job done, please let me know.

Hello, I am currently trying to send an Airtable automation where it bulk emails people from a table. However, I am in the ‘To’ section to send an email, but I can’t find an option under ‘Current item from List of records’ that has just a general statement of ‘Applicant Email’. Currently, it’s showing a specific Applicant Email, but I want to send more than this person. This is also happening for the message when I am trying to include their names. Hi all - wondering if anyone can help because I’m struggling! I used Airtable to track customers and business opportunities through two linked tables. Within business opportunities, each potential deal is categorised to a stage (via single select) - either Early Lead, Qualified Lead, Proposal Submitted, Pitching, Closed - Won or Closed - Lost). I can link the tables so that ALL opportunities are attached together, but what I would ideally like is to have a section / field in the Customer record for Current Opportunties (Stage = Lead / Qualified / Proposal Submitted) and Past Opportunties (Stage = Closed - Won or Closed - Lost). I understand that I could link automatically and filter the possible selections based on the Stage but what I want is for that categorisation to happen automatically. Any ideas? I’ve tried (and failed) to come up with an automation to do it! Hanna

I have an Airtable Business account and Enterprise license for Salesforce Data Cloud. Data cloud has a beta connector to airtable, but I have been unable to get them to work. Here is the information the Salesforce connector asks for: I have no idea how to get the schema that is being asked for. Also, it asks for a private access token or OAuth. I am at a loss on how to set this up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to connect my airtable to Salesforce because there are things that are much easier to add to airtable than Salesforce, but that I need to get into Salesforce for use elsewhere.

Can someone help with the coding of a script that converts the contents of attached .TXT files to a long Text filed? We have an attachment field [TXT] that contains one text file per field. We wonder if it is possible to copy the contents of each text file to a long text filed? I have see some notes on it, but we need scripting help to achieve it. Thanks for any advice. Kevin

I have a parent table with a bunch of linked children. On the parent table, I need to be able to click a check box, which will give the user a 30-minute grace period before the record is “Frozen” (it will move out of an interface section and into another one). The children will then move into a view that will sync it to another base, where automation will create a CSV and upload it to a server somewhere. My thinking was to have a last modified filed field keep track on when the check box was clicked and then add 30 min to that and then let that determine the rest. However I’ve now been looking into the NOW() and it seems quite unreliable for things to do with precision and filtering records into a view to be synced to another base, is also an issue as the date time will only allow me to filter days, but not use time. I can see how this could potentially be solved with a fairly expensive automation setup, where automation constantly looks for updates when the user clicks the check box.
