Question

Duplicated user filters in interface

Forum|alt.badge.img+2

Hi, I am creating an interface and I Airtable just dropped me into a view of the interface designer where I could easily duplicate and rearrange user filters. However, now I can’t find that particular view anymore. Where can I easily duplicate user filters.

Reason why I want this is because I want to add a tab for every month. And otherwise I have to manually add each tab with 2 filters in it.

@rocketcare-niels

There are 2 different clickable areas on your interface page.

There is an “inner blue box” that you can click on which just highlights your list/grid/gallery/etc.

But there is also an “outer blue box” that you can click on which highlights your ENTIRE PAGE.

You  would need to click on that “outer blue box” for the ENTIRE PAGE in order to see those filter options that you are talking about.

Hope this helps! If you’d like to hire the best Airtable consultant to help you with anything Airtable-related, please feel free to contact me through my website: Airtable consultant — ScottWorld

Hi Scott, thank you for your reply. I did indeed find that option, but I mean something else. Difficult to explain as I can’t find it anymore haha.

Piggybacking on Scott’s post—once you’ve clicked on that outer blue box for the Page settings, you’re looking for the User filters options—about halfway down the right sidebar.

Click the little gear to go to the tab properties to set the filters you want (in your case, a date range). Once you’ve done that, you can duplicate by clicking the little square icon in the top right of the filter configuration. See below!

Editing to add: screenshot of what the tabs will look like up top as you add more—by default I believe you have to have a tab that has no tab-specific filters, but you can reposition it to be wherever you want in the tab order.

Hope this helps. ☺️
