Airtable Engineer will not fix this anytime soon.

The company is focusing on Enterprise sales and iOS apps is at the bottom of the list.

Enterprise clients likely use iOS app too…

Maybe so, but seeing that this thread has been opened since 2017 and no fix, it is very likely Airtable will not do anything.

Enterprise customers that uses Airtable use laptops more often than iPad / iPhone as their primary work device.

Nobody has changed the width of an iOS Airtable column in years. They create lots of new apps and interfaces but the basic functionality is still missing.

Bummer. I just bought an iPad Pro to use Airtable in the field and am now just realizing it’s useless without being able to resize columns. Checked Numbers app and you can resize columns so it’s not an iOS issue, it’s Airtable not making this a priority.

It’s been like this for years.

Airtable doesn’t care.

I recommend using Excel in iOS. With mouse support, macro, pivot table etc support, it’s better than Airtable.

Airtable thinks it’s more important to add apps that they charge people for in Plus plan than to make a simple fix to their main product that would benefit a huge number of users.

Still not fixed? This is a pretty basic need.

They have gone years without fixing it.

This is such a low hanging fruit to make the mobile experience 10x better. I really don’t understand allowing this great of an app to continue to be so poor on mobile. I would have upgraded from the free version years ago.

Wow, six years later and this has still not been implemented. 😔
