I have data summarizing income for each month on one pivot table and data summarizing expenses from another pivot table. I would like to create a field or table that can subtract income minus expenses for me in one table. It seems like it should be easy enough.

If you can include screenshots of your table, we would be able to help you better.
One easy way would be to link both data to a Month Table, use Rollup fields then a formula to get the difference.
